Ben and Alison met on a Monday in September 2017 at Sherwin Williams Paint Store in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. Ben had been working at Sherwin Williams for years and Alison had just graduated Magna Cum Laude from College of St. Benedict. After graduation she began a weekly rotation learning the ropes and traveling from store to store training to be a manager. It just happened that the first store she would travel to would lead two people on a collision course they would never forget and a relationship would start that Monday over a few gallons of paint.

As the next few days went by and the conversations grew, Ben and Alison shared more and more with each other...Bonding over some of the most important things in life such as baseball and mac n cheese.

Ben knew that Alison would only be at the store for a week and that he had to act quickly. Seeing an opportunity on Thursday he asked her out to a Twins game that weekend. She quickly said yes, and they exchanged numbers texting late into the night. After a day of flirting at work, Saturday finally came and Ben called Alison to start their date earlier than expected asking to meet up at Mall of America to shop for a new Twins jersey. After that, they enjoyed drinks and cheese curds at a local restaurant before attending the Twins game.

Ben knew right away that he was going to marry Alison and he didn't mind telling her. It wasn't long before they began talking about their future together. On May 9, 2020 amidst the pandemic, Ben decided that he couldn't wait any longer and proposed to Alison at his house in Eagan with his grandmother's ring.

In August 2020, Ben and Alison purchased their first home and are excitedly awaiting their next adventure together.
