Ben surprised Hannah with a beautiful proposal at the Fushimi Inari Shrine in Kyoto, Japan. They were blessed with a sweet shrine kitty that witnessed their engagement.

RIDESHARE APP: Type in Gold Gulch Parking Lot; you can have them drop you off all the way at the back gate near the Pavilion; there is a turnaround spot a bit past this gate.

Ben and Hannah met on the Crystal Pier in Pacific Beach in San Diego. They enjoyed a sunset on a rooftop restaurant and bonded over their love of the beach and family, particularly their fond memories with their grandmas. On the weekends they enjoy walking on the boardwalk in PB, surfing, grilling a steak and watching movies at home. They have had some amazing memories traveling together, especially their most recent trip to Japan where they got engaged. They fell in love in San Diego and can't wait to share their beautiful city with their loved ones for their wedding.

If you are staying with a large group, there are plenty of Air BNB or VRBO to book. Areas to look for are Gaslamp/Little Italy (downtown), North Park/hillcreast (fun smaller downtown area) or if wanting to stay by the beach Pacific Beach or Ocean Beach. Mission Valley is an area close to the venue which has less hustle and bustle for those looking for peace and quiet!

This hotel is in the heart of Gaslamp, which has plenty of bars/restaurants to walk to. This is a happening area for those hoping to go out while in San Diego.

For guests hoping for more peace and quiet, Mission Valley is a 10 minute drive to the venue but more residential.

Travel

Spend a day in La Jolla! If you want a nice walk, check out La Jolla Cove to see Seal Rock and see some protected wildlife in action! Then head over to La Jolla Shores to check out Hannah &amp; Ben's favorite beach! Plenty of kayak rentals for those looking for a challenge. Grab lunch in the quaint downtown area. If you enjoy shopping, downtown La Jolla has plenty of boutiques and restaurants. Would recommend Uber/Lyft as parking is very difficult, especially at La Jolla Shore/Cove.

Check out where Hannah and Ben met and fell in love. If you want a beach day, law street beach is Ben's favorite for surfing. Enjoy some people watching on the boardwalk and walk towards mission beach, and grab some food and drinks at one of the oceanfront restaurants (Our favorites are Woody's for the Baja cheesesteak, which is on the water, or Biggies Burgers which is inland). Plenty of popular bars that are great for those interested in a good time. You will be sure to see something to write home about on the pacific beach boardwalk. Ben and Hannah go to this beach often as parking is easiest, especially near side streets nearby law street beach.

San Diego has plenty of great golf courses, including the famous Torrey Pines! Let us know if we can help you get a resident discount if possible :)

Golf

Check out Coronado Beach and downtown, especially the famous Del Hotel. It has beautiful white sand beaches, though it is a bit out of the way and also can have a smell to it depending on the current from Mexico. Plenty of beautiful stores and restaurants, very safe and clean. Parking can be difficult.

For those that love the city life, Gaslamp is the place to be at night! So many fun restaurants, bars, and clubs.

Enjoy Little Italy! Come for the farmer's market in the morning, or a date night over some delicious pasta. Great restaurants for those who love Italian food, plenty of cute bars to get your night started at.

For the active guest, enjoy Cowle mountain for a hike. It is a short, very steep, very rewarding climb. For those interested in hiking, also check out the 3 sisters waterfall hike in San Diego!
