Our story began one evening at the Children’s Hospital at the University of Iowa. On her first day of training, Nanci was getting acclimated with a fellow co-worker when Ben, the Lead Safety Ambassador, walked in, ready to lend a hand before finishing his shift. He caught a glimpse of Nanci and seized the moment to introduce himself.

Their next encounter came a week later when Nanci was there to take over Ben’s station. Ben initiated a casual conversation, and since Nanci recognized his position as Lead Safety Ambassador, she confidently asked him for a better face shield, as hers was always slipping off. Seeing an opportunity, Ben asked for Nanci’s Snapchat 😉. From that point on, they began chatting regularly and soon had their first date—though Nanci never did get that better face shield!

Nuestra historia comenzó una noche en el Hospital de Niños de la Universidad de Iowa. En su primer día de entrenamiento, Nanci se estaba aclimatando con un compañero de trabajo cuando Ben, el Embajador Principal de Seguridad, entró, listo para echar una mano antes de terminar su turno. Echó un vistazo a Nanci y aprovechó el momento para presentarse.

Su siguiente encuentro llegó una semana después, cuando Nanci estaba allí para hacerse cargo de la estación de Ben. Ben inició una conversación casual, y desde que Nanci reconoció su posición como Embajadora Principal de Seguridad, le pidió con confianza un mejor protector facial, ya que el suyo siempre se estaba deslizando. Al ver una oportunidad, Ben pidió el Snapchat de Nanci 😉. A partir de ese momento, comenzaron a chatear regularmente y pronto tuvieron su primera cita, ¡aunque Nanci nunca tuvo ese mejor protector facial!
