Itinerary and Suggestions:
May 20th: At Sea Day
This will be the day of our Ceremony- We will update this once we have a confirmed time and location of the ceremony
- We have requested that our group have dinner in the dining room for this evening. We will update once we have exact timing
May 21st Juneau, Alaska
Arrive 1:00 pm Depart: 9:00 pm
In the past we did a combination whale watching/Mendenhall Glacier excursion which we really enjoyed. If you aren't interested in booking an excursion for this, I would recommend checking out Mendenhall Glacier. You can take a shuttle to the Glacier and check out the Visitor Center. There is a short little hike (EASY) It is a .8 mile walk to a beautiful waterfall and closer to the glacier.

- Red Dog Saloon- 3 blocks from the ship

Have a "Duck Fart" shot, or an Alaskan Ale!
-Tracy's Crab Shack- This is located RIGHT outside the ship. We loved having a cold glass of Alaskan Ale, and a small bowl of Crab Bisque.
May 22nd- Cruise Endicott Arm/Dawes Glacier
- We will be planning to get a room/area for our group if anyone is interested in joining prior to dinner
May 23rd- Sitka, Alaska
Arrive: 8:00 am Depart: 4:00 pm
- There are shuttle busses that will take you to downtown Sitka for free! The port is located 6 miles north of downtown.
We chose not to do an excursion on our previous cruise. We took the shuttle bus to downtown Sitka. We walked around the town, and decided to do our own hike. We had enough time to walk around the downtown, do a little hike and check out some totems. I really enjoyed reading through some great blogs which helped me narrow down what I wanted to do!
This was a very helpful blog:

Things to check out!
- St Michaels Russian Orthodox Church
-Walk up Baranof Castle Hill
-Totem Park- we walked through
-Fortress of the Bear- They offer excursions here- we didn't do one, but I have heard it is great! https://www.fortressofthebear.org/your-visit
- We love trying out new breweries! We checked out Harbor Mountain Brewing Co. We hiked a few miles and found this gem at the end of our hiking trail: https://www.harbormountainbrewing.com/
May 24th- Ketchikan, Alaska
Arrive: 8:00 am- 1:00 pm
This was another port we didn't purchase an excursion for. Since we had so little time, we opted to tour the town. Lots of shopping here! :)
Pick up a walking tour map at the Visitor Bureau when you get off the boat. The map is EASY to read and has each spot of interest numbered. All in walking distance of the port.
A few highlights:
-Creek Street & Dolly's House
-Married Man's Trail
-Great Lumberjack Show- We have never done this but hear it's great!
May 25th- Victoria, BC
8:00 pm- 11:59 pm
Unfortunately, there isn't much time to spend in this BEAUTIFUL port. This was one of the highlights of my last Alaskan cruise.
The cruise point is about a 20 minute walk to downtown Victoria. We chose to take a shuttle bus which was a 5-7 minute drive. It was around $15 USD for a round trip ticket to downtown.
We chose to have a drink at the beautiful Fairmont Empress Hotel at the outdoor bar which overlooks the marina.
-Fisherman's Wharf
-Parliament buildings- Lit up at night is beautiful!
-Butchart Gardens- I would LOVE to check this out with a little more time. You would want to book a tour with Holland if you want to get a night tour of the gardens as the timing is a bit too close for comfort! The cruise line excursion will ensure you get back to the port on time.
