That's a great question. We didn't really know either, and honestly just chose the word 'formal' because Ben really likes alliteration, haha. Here's a few things to think about that hopefully helps clear things up! While we do want everyone to look all pretty and dapper, we understand that camping doesn't necessarily allow for that to be entirely possible. So try and go for something that looks nice, but is comfortable enough to be outside in. Ladies: - Midi-length dresses, flowy maxi dresses, pant suits, jumpsuits are all great choices - Comfortable heels, wedges, or even flats are appropriate. Keep in mind that we will be outside and the ground may be uneven in areas Men: - Suit, blazer and dress pants, shirt and dress pants. Tie optional

We will be providing breakfast, box lunches and dinner starting Friday morning! But bring snacks and your favorite drinks for in between!

The main lodge area has 5 bathrooms. The designated camping area has 10 private showers, 7 flushing toilets and multiple outdoor sinks.

There are plenty of houses and cabins in the area that you can rent (Airbnb, VRBO, etc). Just search in Maple Falls, WA and keep in mind that we will be located at the north end of Silver Lake. There is also a 42 bed bunkhouse that is split into 4 rooms with shared bathroom and common area. If you are interested in staying here please let us know via the RSVP questions.

Yes, there will be a little cabin at the camping area with power strips that everyone can use to charge their electronics. We do encourage you to bring external batteries/power banks if you have them!

We will be serving beer and wine Friday evening. Saturday we will have wine, beer and full bar. We encourage you to BYOB to supplement your desires between those times. For those who are alcohol-free, we will be providing a variety of bottled water, soft drinks, juices, coffee/tea. There is a convenience store 10 min down the road in Maple Falls if you feel the need to replenish your stock!

Yes anyone can bring their boat! Just check out the Silver Lake rules and restrictions.

Yes, there is a designated area between the main lodge and camping area set up just for that!

All children are welcome at this soiree. However, despite the fact that we love doggos, we do ask that you leave your furry friends at home.

• FIRES: As of July 5th, there is a Stage 1 Burn Ban in Whatcom County, which means we ARE allowed to have fires in designated fire pits! No problem! Maple Fuels is just 10 minutes away and serves as a small grocery store with a camping and fishing section. If it is not too specific you should be able to find what you need there.

There will be a few different indoor communal spaces for people to use that have outlets and bathrooms. You are more than welcome to store your nice clothes in these areas so they don't get dirty.
