Our Wedding

The Main Event

The day is finally here! Join us at the magnificent Barunah Plains Estate on Saturday the 14th of October 2023 Please arrive at 3:30pm for a 4pm Ceremony After the ceremony, head to the pool for Drinks and Canapés At 6pm it's time to head down across the creek and to the marquee for the receptionFood trucks will be serving up dinner (with vegan options of course) and there will wonderful staff serving up beer, wine and soft drink Our venue has no curfew so we plan to party all night with those who book accomodation on site. For those who will be travelling home or catching the bus to Geelong, the night will end at 11:00pm

Feeling a bit rusty the next day?

Well don't you worry your pretty little head.. that's what the Recovery Party is for! As the sun rises on Sunday and you look around for a precious sip of water (or Powerade), you'll rub your weary eyes and let the memories of the night before come flooding back. You'll be thinking to yourself, "Gosh darn that was a fun time, I wish it wasn't over", and guess what??? It isn't over (insert applause here)! Join us at Barunah Plains from 12pm for some food, drinks and more fun times! You can take a dip in the pool, eat away that hangover or better yet, get right back on that horse and pop a bottle!

On-Site Accomodation

Geelong Accomodation

The shearer’s quarters may not be what you have in mind, so if you’d prefer to stay off-site we recommend the beautiful city of Geelong. To help you get between Geelong and Barunah Plains on our Wedding Day, we have organised a return bus trip. To bring you to the venue there will be a bus departing from Geelong Library at 2:45pm.To return you to Geelong Library, there will be a bus departing Barunah Plains at 11pm. Please indicate in your RSVP if you would like a spot on the bus, or alternatively please email us at rosswedding23@gmail.com.

Travel

Of course you may wish to retire to the comfort of your own bed at the end of the evening… If you wish to drive out for the wedding and head home at the end of the night, you will be happy to know that there is plenty of parking on site! As mentioned earlier, the venue is approximately 90 minutes from Melbourne and 30 minutes from Geelong!

Is there parking on site?

There sure is! If you wish to drive, there is plenty of parking available on site.

Will children be invited?

Of course! With so many of our wonderful friends expanding their families, we would be delighted to welcome your little (and not so little) ones to enjoy the day!&nbsp; We would like let you know that there is a pool area near the ceremony location and a creek that runs through the middle of our ceremony and reception areas. As these areas are not fenced off, please be aware of how this could impact you and your children.&nbsp;

Food/Drinks?

Mmmm Fooooood.. We’re already hungry thinking about it!! We will have a few options to choose from and yes there will be Vegan and Gluten free options available. If you have any other dietary requirements we’d really appreciate if you could let us known ASAP. Drinks…. Yes! We will have a range of bubbles, beer, wine and soft drinks flowing all evening! Of course if you have a particular drink that you love, please feel free to bring it... we’ll be sure to have lots of ice to keep your favourite beverage cold!

Can I camp?

Unfortunately there will be no camping on-site during the weekend. For more info on accomodation options, please see the ‘Accomodation and Travel’ page.If you have a camper van or RV that you’re thinking of using, we’d appreciate if you could let us know so that we can clear it with the venue.
