Ben and I attended Schley County High School together, but our love story started much later than that! We never hung out with each other in high school or really knew each other. We both graduated, went to college, and took different life paths. We both were working in Americus, and happened to have a customer in common- Chuck Smith! Mr. Chuck kept telling me that he knew a super sweet guy that he wanted me to meet. At the same time, he was telling Ben that he knew a super sweet girl he needed to meet. However, we were both too shy to make the first move!

One day, I guess Mr. Chuck finally got through to Ben. He walked into CVS and asked me to help him find a few things. We exchanged numbers a couple of days later, then went on our first date on a Friday night. We have been inseparable ever since!

People like to say that when you know, you know. I normally do not agree with cliche's, but this time it was absolutely correct! I knew from the moment we went on our first date that I would love Ben. Three years later, on January 27, 2018, Ben asked me to be his forever- I was so excited I could not even speak! The whole day felt like a fairy tale.

And to think- none of this would be happening if Mr. Chuck had not insisted that we meet.
