Scavenger Hunt Post Ceremony!
(You do not have to do these in order but it does help)
1) Head To:
Lead Deadwood Elementary School which serves 287 students
Take a Photo with the cannon
2) Jump across the street:
Volunteer Fire Department (off Main Street)
Check out their long standing motto,
HISTORIC PRESERVATION THRU FIRE PREVENTION AND SUPPRESSION.
Take a photo of Firemen climbing a ladder
3) Head down to the Silverado:
The junction of City Creek and Whitewood Creek, just a few feet from the Silverado, was the site of the first gold strike in Deadwood Gulch, made by Frank S. Bryant when he was out hunting.
Take picture of yourself with a drink inside the building or next to something Gold also inside the building
4) Scurry next door to the Outlaw Square:
Take picture of you and someone else pointing finger guns at each other (fake a western standoff)
5) Slide over to the Gold Dust Casino
Take a picture of a Chihuly Chandelier
(if you need help google Chihuly art)
6) Trot on down to the Oldest Bar in Deadwood:
A favorite haunt of Buffalo Bill Cody.
Snag a photo inside getting a drink/shot at the bar
7) Then make a trek over to where they sell Beer/Wine/Food and have a grocery store:
"Setting a New Standard in Deadwood"
Take a picture with one of their friendly staff members
8) Finally make your way to a Hotel Founded two years after the discovery of gold during the 1874 Custer Expedition.
