Bethany’s Story: Waiting on God’s BestEver since I was a little girl, I dreamed of meeting the man of my dreams, falling in love, getting married, and starting a family. In my mind, it would all happen between the ages of 21 and 25. So, imagine my surprise—and at times, heartache—when I found myself at 38, still waiting.I had grown weary of the endless swiping on dating apps. I refused to settle or lower my standards just to avoid being alone. Deep down, I knew what I wanted: a man who loved God, who shared my values, and who would be a true partner in life and faith.On a chilly December evening, while watching a movie with my family, I decided—somewhat reluctantly—to give the apps one more try. That’s when I came across Chad’s profile. He was handsome, tall, and looking for something serious. But what truly caught my eye was his mention of his relationship with God. That was it—I swiped right. And thankfully, so did he.We started chatting on December 31, 2024. From the very beginning, our conversation felt natural and easy. As our messages grew longer, I eventually gave him my number. I let him know I’d be out of the country for a few days on a missions trip with my mom, but that I’d check messages whenever I had WiFi.Every day while I was away, Chad messaged me—asking how things were going, encouraging me, requesting pictures and videos, and most meaningfully, letting me know he was praying for me. When I returned home, we set up our first date.I was nervous, but excited. We had already covered most of the small talk through our texts and calls, so meeting in person felt like the natural next step. On January 18, 2025, we met for lunch—and what neither of us realized at the time was that we were going on our last first date.From that first meeting, I felt safe with Chad. I could be myself completely, and we connected on a deep and spiritual level. Early on, we committed to doing daily devotions and nightly prayers together, keeping God at the center of our relationship. We both prayed the same prayer: “God, we want Your will—nothing less, nothing more, nothing else.”Introducing Chad to my family felt like introducing them to someone who had always been a part of our lives. He fit in so naturally. It didn’t take long for me to know I wanted to marry him—and thankfully, he felt the same. He asked for my parents’ blessing, and we began dreaming and planning for the future. All that was missing was a ring.That changed on May 28, 2025. I had spent the day planning a birthday celebration for Chad, but he surprised me with the greatest gift—he asked me to marry him. And of course, I said yes!Looking back, I’m so grateful I didn’t settle. God’s timing truly is perfect, and His plan is always worth the wait. I cannot wait to marry the love of my life and start this next chapter—together. Chad’s Point of View: Back in December 2024, I began searching for a life partner—someone I could truly do life with. I was looking for someone I could be completely myself around, someone who would enjoy the simple, everyday things: window shopping, goofing off, walking trails, or just spending time with family. I didn’t have high expectations, but I placed my full trust in God, believing He would provide someone according to His will. From the start, I knew what I didn’t want—no casual flings or “just friends” situations. I wanted something real. After swiping left a few times, I came across Bethany’s profile. It was everything I had hoped for. So I swiped right. As soon as we began exchanging messages, I felt drawn to her and knew I wanted to keep the conversation going. She shared that she was about to leave the country for a mission trip to the Dominican Republic, but that she’d be available to chat on WhatsApp. While she was gone, our messages gave me a window into her heart. I saw her deep passion and love for people, and I was genuinely grateful to witness what God was doing in her life. I knew then—I wanted to know her more. When she returned, the only place that came to mind for our first meeting was a local favorite: Bazbeaux Pizza. I love pizza, she loves pizza—it just made sense. We had an amazing conversation about life and family, and after that day, I knew I wanted to see her again. We kept talking and texting about everyday things, and it was clear that God was working in both of our lives—answering prayers we had each been praying for a long time. Things became serious quickly, but we made one promise: if we were going to pursue this relationship, God had to be at the center. Each night, we take turns praying for one another—for our relationship, our work, and our families. We also started a daily devotion together, not just to grow in our faith, but to learn how to be the best partners we could be—with God’s help. As we grew closer, so did our faith. Bethany met me at a time when I felt at my lowest, and yet she saw something in me worth giving a chance. There were days I struggled to move forward, but she stood by me, holding my hand, reminding me it was going to be okay. Her steadfast love during those moments drew me not only closer to her, but closer to God. She’s welcomed me into her family, who I’ve grown to love deeply. They’ve shown me what grace and unconditional love look like in action. My daughters have embraced her, and she’s become an important part of their lives. Watching God’s grace unfold slowly over time has made me appreciate the wait. I’m so glad I waited for Bethany. Through her, I’ve experienced a love that reflects the way God loves us—unconditionally. I can’t wait to see where this adventure takes us. Bethany, I love you.

Indianapolis and the surrounding cities have so much to offer. If you are traveling with little ones the Indianapolis Zoo and Children's Museum are always a good choice. We also have some fun parks with playgrounds, nature centers, and walking trails. Most hotels are located near by plenty of shopping and dinning options.
