We initially met in passing in the morning meetings at Acura/Infiniti/Subaru of Baton Rouge. Bethany worked as a technology specialist for Acura, and Mike worked as a sales person for Subaru.

We had our first - very casual - conversation in April of 2016 on the Subaru showroom. Mike remembers Bethany as the girl in purple. Bethany was wearing a purple dress, and had purple sunglasses. Bethany texted Julia to tell her she talked to the cute guy at Subaru. Mike left Subaru not long after to work at All-Star Chevrolet, so we no longer saw each other in the daily meetings.

A couple of months later, we reconnected on Tinder. Bethany swiped right because she recognized Mike from Subaru, even though his bio normally would have received an automatic left. Mike swiped right because of the white dress in Bethany's profile picture.

Our first date was in June of 2016. We went to Chimes for dinner and Celebration Station for Putt-Putt.

In August of 2016, Mike asked Bethany to be his girlfriend. Bethany said no. (She wanted to be single for her birthday). Bethany spent her birthday with Mike anyway.

On the night of September 1, 2016, Bethany decided she was okay with being Mike's girlfriend, and we became official.

Since then we've adopted two cats, Noodle and Ivan, and a tortoise, Donutello "Donut". We made it through Bethany's law school and bar prep journey. We've been through career changes. Welcomed nieces and nephews. We survived a world wide pandemic. Most importantly, through the good and the bad times, we've grown together.

On August 19, 2023, Bethany's 29th Birthday, in Cancun Mexico in the roof top pool of our resort suite, Mike proposed. Bethany laughed and said "Yes of Course." Bethany was so surprised her nails almost weren't done for the occasion. She painted them pink right before leaving for the airport earlier that morning.
