Our Story

Bethany:

It's fun thinking back to the time in college when Ben and I first started running in the same crowd. I was drawn to him from the very start. I loved his easy-going nature, his sarcastic sense of humor, and his spirit of adventure. But more than all of those things, I loved his heart for God and his genuine kindness toward others. He was exactly the type of guy I wanted to spend time with and get to know more. But, me being me, I did my best to never let on that I was interested. And, Ben being Ben, he did the same. Several years passed and my attraction to Ben never went away. Then, as both of us started to settle into our lives and careers, God aligned our paths and we finally started dating! It's been an exciting journey, and I feel so blessed to have Ben in my life. I'm excited to have him by my side as we start this new journey together!

Ben:

Bethany caught my eye pretty quickly. We first crossed paths in 2011, and started spending time together in 2012 when we lived across the hall from each other. She seemed genuine. She had a soft-spoken confidence that was easy to identify. She was smart and kind, but she let her actions speak for her. Our interactions were much more limited than I wanted them to be, but I grew to cherish our time together. Though I never made these feelings known, those close to me weren't fooled for long (still working on that poker face). As we've grown closer, Bethany has affirmed the hunches I had about her. She's my best friend and my most trusted partner. I'm looking forward to taking on life with her!
