During COVID lockdown in 2020, Bethany and Zach met at his chiropractors office. She was the patient, and he was the therapist working with her. After the appointment, Zach decided to message her over social media to ask her to get coffee. After originally accepting, she politely and abruptly ghosted him for a whole month when he tried to set a date.
Once Bethany finally came to her senses, she realized she made a mistake and decided to reach out to Zach again, and their love story began to blossom.
After their first date, at which they closed down the coffee shop, a second date seemed like the only logical choice. Especially after Bethany saw Zach get into his sexy red minivan that had a “Grace Mom” window sticker.
Fast forward through a wonderful summer of getting acquainted with friends and family, pond days, and traveling, Zach and Bethany had to experience distance as they both returned to their separate colleges.
Distance really does make the heart grow fonder. This time of distance provided them with learning moments, new friendships, lots of extra miles put on Zach’s car, and a love that has proven distance is merely a detour and not a dead end.
Zach graduated in 2022 and proceeded to take a gap year while Bethany finished her senior year at Ball State in 2023.
The summer of 2023 held lots of anticipation, excitement, and the start of an entirely new journey for Zach and Bethany. On June 9th, Zach proposed to Bethany which kickstarted a summer of family vacation, concerts, weddings, and saying goodbye to the people they love.
At the end of August, Zach and Bethany moved to St. Louis, MO in order for Zach to pursue his career and go to school to become a Chiropractor. Bethany got her first RN job at St. Louis Children’s Hospital in the Pediatric ICU.
Despite missing friends, family, and all the familiarities of Indiana, St. Louis has proven to be full of new experiences, new friends, and the first opportunity to make a home together.
Zach and Bethany got their first look into parenthood after adopting Lany, the loving, sweet, ball of energy.
As Zach and Bethany look forward to getting married, and starting yet another chapter in life, they can’t help but think about and appreciate all of the people that support them, love them, and will be there to celebrate them.
