Our story… gosh, it’s a good one!

Anthony and Bethany managed to meet each other not only while living across the country from one another but during a global pandemic, to boot! 30+ years of searching and turns out all we needed to find each other was a mutual love of Disney and a mutual friend! And well, of course, we can’t leave out our beloved tech.. FaceTime! (and Snapchat.. but I’m getting ahead of myself)

Here goes…

Bethany was at Disney World with their mutual friend when she haphazardly slid into their facetime chat to say ‘Hello!’ and BOOM.. They caught each other’s eye instantly. Naturally, Bethany spent the rest of the trip “subtly” (ha) dropping hints and requests for information to their friend. With their friends blessing, Bethany was gifted Anthony’s phone number to use (or not) at her discretion (he was none the wiser). Bethany added the number to her phone and it was only a matter of time before she took the leap and added Anthony on Snapchat (the start of all great relationships - LOL). She woke up the next morning to the request having been accepted and Anthony having sent her a long message about how he’d just returned from this great solo trip to Disney Land and that her request for friendship was just “a day late and a dollar short!” (the instant charmer). They continued to chat for the next couple of weeks and decided when Anthony was home for Thanksgiving that they would go on their first date. Their first date was scheduled for a couple days after he was going to be home, but, neither one of them had any interest in waiting and ended up meeting at Bulldog Ale House the night he flew in.

Anthony was sitting at the bar when Bethany walked in. He turned around and stood up and only two thoughts ran through Bethany’s head.. 1.) DAMN this is the tallest man she had ever met and 2.) DAMN this tall man was good looking.. 😊 They ended up talking all night and closing the bar down before continuing to talk in the (freezing) parking lot for who knows how long after that!

They ended up spending the entire 8 days he was home together and by the end of it they had made their relationship official! They loved their time together so much it only took 3 days into the trip before Anthony invited Bethany to come to California to spend his birthday with him at Disney Land. She said yes without hesitation! The trip solidified how much they loved travelling and adventuring together.

Fast forward 2+ years, too many flights to count and SO many adventures later and now we’re preparing for our greatest adventure yet.. Marriage! To say that we’ve both found “our person” is an understatement. For anyone who doesn’t believe in fate, I hope our story has changed your point of view, if just a little bit ❤️
