Our Wedding

We met on our second day of medical school in 2016. We naturally spent a lot of time together as both our last names ended in K, so we were always paired up for projects and small groups . We started off as frenemies who became besties, and then partners in crime and love.  During this time we discovered our shared love of God, family, laughter and music . Our friendship blossomed into love and a partnership,  and we have been together ever since. We have been together through the highs and lows of medical school, long distance, residency, fellowship, first real job and many more. We are so excited to celebrate our union with our friends and family from all walks of our life.  Thank you for celebrating with us.

Davis and Cody became close friends during their time in residency in Boston. They both share a love for medicine, God, afrobeats and service,  and Cody is one of the few people Davis talks to in Swahili :)

Betty and Derek went to college together and have remained besties now going on 15 yrs.  They have shared many journies together as they both pursued medicine and finally ended up in the same city after almost  7 yrs apart doing medical training.

Harshey and Davis  met in college where they formed a close friendship that continued through medical school where he met Betty.  We became a trio who spent all our  time eating, trolling and studying together and  even lived together during our last year of medical school. Our friendship continues to this day.

One of the best humans we know! Marcela, Betty and Davis went to medical school together and became besties during medical residency where Marcela and her home became the rock and relief of our friend group  during a global pandemic.

Rachel is Betty's bestie and ride or die since 2011. Rachel is not Kristian's given name but that's a story for another time. They are thankfully reunited in the same city and both live in San Francisco after many years of a long distance friendship. They fondly go by the group name, R&B.

This location is very close to the ceremony site and is a greay afternoon activity if you're looking for something chill to do betweeen the ceremony and the reception. There a beatiful garden area to explore behind the museum for FREE, if you don't want to pay to look in the museum. The Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum began with one small artifact, a Sekhmet (lion goddess) statue, which stood on the desk of H. Spencer Lewis, the founder of the Rosicrucian Order, AMORC. Today, the museum includes 4,000 artifacts and houses the largest collection of authentic ancient Egyptian artifacts on display in Western North America.&nbsp;
