Almost 8 years ago, Zak received a message about a mysterious insurance adjuster who he’d “really hit it off with” …
❤️
Well, after a first date that involved hilarious lateness (justifiable as it turned out), embarrassingly bad pho, and a twerking demonstration Betty knew there was something to this “intense, talkative, yet mysteriously charming individual” (source – Zak Sucharski) …
💜
She had to let him in slowly, making him avoid eye contact at her gym, having him park around the block to avoid her parents knowing she was seeing someone new.
❤️
Over the next months they would be drawn together by their love of literature, nature, Brazilian jiu jitsu, and really anything nerdy. Zak got to meet the wonderful Zoey and promptly got permission to be her mother’s boyfriend at the low cost of a candy necklace. Zoey found that to be a fair trade as she enjoyed milk just as much as this large new man and found his shoulders to be an excellent seat to watch him play video games. They also found a common sense of humor as she also enjoys poking fun (putting on his hats and in the deepest voice she can muster repeating IM ZAK IM ZAK and calling his friends clowns). Smitten, Betty asked Zak to find a minister over deep fried tacos at the Erie County fair but Zak, sensing this relationship was special, different, and worth the work forever takes, only waited a little bit longer…
💜
Six years later, after being shown levels of connection and love he hadn’t thought possible. The relationship having survived a vicious prank war, Betty being made into huevos rancheros in the shower with salsa and raw eggs, leading her to counter with the nuclear option, an ENTIRE bag of flour in said shower. A nerf war spanning the entire house and intensely competitive family game nights. Zak enlisted his family to mislead his beloved and cover for him while he planned his proposal. After all three different plans failed spectacularly, Zak asked Betty the most important question he’d ever ask another person and in the comfort of the living room of his childhood home, SHE SAID YES! Our journey has been fun, educational, romantic, and as it tends to be, crazy at times but we wouldn’t trade it for anything.
Please come join us as we take our first steps into forever!
