Airports
Chicago O'Hare and Midway airports are equidistant from downtown Chicago. Either airport is a great option!
O'Hare Airport
Chicago O'Hare has specific a rideshare pickup areas in the departure level of terminal 2, where you can request a ride directly.
Alternatively, O'Hare is the end of the Blue Line "L" train (essentially a subway), and both hotel options we have blocked are about a 10 minute walk off either the Clark and Lake or Damen Blue Line Stop, where our hotels are blocked. We'd recommend hopping on the blue line unless you have a good deal of baggage.
Midway Airport
Midway Airport has a specific rideshare pickup area at Arrivals - Door 4 where you can request a ride directly.
Alternatively, Midway is the end of the Orange Line "L" train (essentially a subway). The Kinzie Hotel is about a 10 minute walk off the Clark and Lake stop, and the Wicker Park Inn is ~2 miles away from this stop.
Travel FAQs
Should I rent a car?
We would not recommend renting a car in the city for those coming from out of town. Using Lyft, Uber, public transportation and walking will almost certainly be easier and more cost effective than renting a car!
Is there parking at the venue?
There are no parking spots associated with our venue. We'd strongly recommend downloading and using the app Spothero to locate and reserve a nearby spot vs. attempting to find street parking if you'd like to drive. Our venue is located in a busy part of the city on a Saturday!
Is there parking available at either of the reserved hotels?
Yes. Wicker Park Inn charges $45/night and the Kinzie Hotel charges $71/night. Again, we'd recommend the app Spothero for less expensive options nearby.
Are there alternative places to stay?
Of course. That said, due to a large medical conference in Chicago the weekend of our wedding, many hotels in the area will have inflated prices this weekend. If opting out of our room block, you may have the best luck with AirBnb or VRBO rentals.
