Devi percorrere una strada un po’ in salita per 5 minuti per arrivare all’ingresso della chiesa di san Tommaso da Villanova nella piazza principale di Castel Gandolfo.
La piazza è ZTL e riservata solo al passaggio pedonale.

Treno - Train
Puoi raggiungere il borgo direttamente col treno attraverso la linea Roma Termini – Albano Laziale.
Ci sono treni ogni ora, durata del viaggio 45 minuti, costo del biglietto circa due euro.

Castel gandolfo
Valutate l’occasione di girare per le vie del borgo di Castel Gandolfo. Una delle sue particolarità è che riesce ad essere un posto tranquillissimo nonostante i tanti turisti. C’è silenzio ma allo stesso tempo è frequentato da tante persone, è veramente molto suggestivo!
Non è un caso che questo borgo rientra tra i più belli d’Italia, oltre alle vie che riportano indietro nel tempo ci sono anche delle terrazze che si affacciano sul lago di Albano.

Palazzo Papale e Giardini Pontifici Castel Gandolfo
I Giardini Pontifici di Castel Gandolfo si trovano a pochi chilometri da Roma e sono il luogo di riposo del Papa nel periodo estivo. È possibile visitare i giardini solamente con una guida e rilassarsi godendo di una splendida vista sul lago Albano e sulla città di Castel Gandolfo. Nel biglietto è inclusa anche la visita al Palazzo Papale. È possibile visitare i Giardini Pontifici tutti i giorni dalle 8.30 alle 14 e il sabato e la domenica fino alle 18.30.
The Pontifical Gardens of Castel Gandolfo are located a few kilometers from Rome and serve as the Pope's retreat during the summer period. The gardens can only be visited with a guide, offering the opportunity to relax while enjoying a magnificent view of Lake Albano and the town of Castel Gandolfo. The ticket also includes a visit to the Papal Palace. The Pontifical Gardens can be visited every day from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm, and on Saturdays and Sundays until 6:30 pm.
