Brian & Bianca’s love story dates all the way back to 2012!

From their final year of high school until now, a decade plus two years in the making!

Having spent almost half of their lives together, their story is full of immense growth and love for each other, while surpassing all odds through their 7 years of long-distance.

Brian and Bianca began as close friends in high school, collaborating on class assignments, chatting about hobbies and music, and messaging each other late at night on Facebook, while Bianca’s admiration for Brian’s caring demeanor and mesmerizing guitar playing grew fonder.

As in-class conversations grew more personal and late night conversations drew until 2 AM at times, Brian started to realize that something was different, something was special about Bianca … she was the one person that ACTUALLY wanted to hear what he had to say … LOL … conversations between the two grew more mature (well, somewhat …) and each of them realized how much they enjoyed learning about one another and sharing a likeness for family, food, and beautiful acoustic guitar music.

After meeting each other’s families and spending more time with each other outside of school, Bianca managed to convince Brian to ask her to prom. She hinted, but Brian (as observant as he is), didn’t get the hint … at all … just flew right over his head … he thought she was playing around, but eventually came to his senses.

Brian had a plan. But not just any plan. He wanted to make this moment special. So he did what any 90s kid probably thought about, but never decided to pursue … he decided to go cheesy, but cute …

Brian bought a chocolate bar … and put a golden ticket inside … still don’t know what’s happening? Willy Wonka anybody? That’s right! Over a nice dinner at Cheesecake Factory with Bianca and her close friend, Allison, Brian handed a rose and the chocolate bar with golden ticket inside to Bianca, officially asking her to prom! She said yes!

Now was Bianca’s turn for hints that would fly right over HER head (: Later that night Allison told Bianca point blank “Bianca, he likes you … did you see that smile on his face, and there’s no way he would go above and beyond like that just to ask you to prom!” So, Brian played it cool in future communication. After all, he wasn’t going to give all his cards away at once.

Bianca and Brian went to prom together, had a romantic late night walk on the beach afterwards, and the beginnings of Cloud 9 began forming above them.

In the days following, after the whole “do you like me like me” phase it was obvious to Brian and Bianca that they more than just “liked” each other.

Bianca and Brian would often go for walks around their local neighborhood park, Brian sweating bullets (inside, of course he played it cool on the outside), Bianca going with the flow, and the two of them having picnics while admiring the newly hatched yellow ducklings at the park pond.

During this period of time, Bianca and Brian went to one of their favorite Thai restaurants (Thai Thai) with their good friend Maggie. Of course, with Bianca’s indecisive nature, she needed a second opinion to make sure Brian was up to snuff! After an immaculate meal, many smiles, and good laughs, Brian passed the test … phew!

After Maggie left to return home, Brian and Bianca walked around the shopping plaza … Brian had planned on asking Bianca out that night … but something happened … he either chickened-out or realized 4/20 wasn’t the best day to ask someone out … probably both.

So two days later, Brian and Bianca met again at their local neighborhood park. Brian was excited, but NERVOUS. This beautiful woman staring back at him was entirely unsuspecting, but was wondering why Brian wanted to walk around the park so many times, more than usual. Finally, on their return home from the park, just about before sunset, Brian finally had the guts to grab both of her hands, look her in the eyes, and pop his first question … she said yes and on 4/22/12, the rainbows and butterflies and puppy dog moments of their relationship had officially begun!

Bianca went to UF and Brian went to FSU. They had applied and accepted admission to each college prior to dating, but were determined to make it work!

Over 7 years, they took countless rides between Gainesville and Tallahassee to make sure their love would stand strong despite many who were doubtful they could make it work. Minimizing the “proximity effect” was important to them. This period of time was emotional, but also joyous. It taught Brian and Bianca strength and resilience in their relationship and they continued to grow stronger together, as a result.

From local music festivals, homecoming concerts, to playing music at home, Brian and Bianca have always enjoyed exploring new music together over the years! Music has always been a place of joy and happiness in their relationship.

As Floridian’s, Brian and Bianca have always enjoyed a relaxing day at the beach or a canoe adventure together at the lake. Now living together in Gainesville, they enjoy trips to Tampa and St. Augustine/Crescent Beach as an occasional weekend escape.

Since they live so close, Bianca and Brian have also enjoyed occasional Disney trips together and/or with friends. Exploring new rides, attractions, and savoring a delicious dole whip has always been a favorite past time of theirs!

Romantic date nights, milestones, and celebrating holidays together with friends and family! We’ve had SO many great experiences over the years and have been with each other through so many significant moments in our lives!

From mountain tops to sandy beaches, nature and wildlife exploration, seeing snow together for the first time, and our foodie adventures, our lives together have been beautiful and fulfilling. We can’t wait for many more wonderful years to come!

Brian FINALLY popped the BIG question on 4/12/22 while on a surprise Celebrity Edge cruise packed with delicious food and fun excursions! Brian played it off by telling Bianca the cruise was to celebrate their 10 year anniversary. However, he secretly planned the proposal with a photography and event planning crew leading up to the trip! Bianca had a feeling Brian was up to something more and Brian was determined to not be predictable and propose exactly at the 10 year mark.
