The love story of Bianca and Nimai does begin like the romanticized tales of couples in films. They were not separated by social standings of wealth and privilege, like The Notebook’s Noah and Allie or Titanic’s Jack and Rose. They did not cross paths the halls of a high school that was filled with vampires and werewolves like Edward and Bella in Twilight. Nor still did they spend years pining for each other from across the hall from each other like Ross and Rachel from Friends (although they did take a break).

No. This particularly Bianca and Nimai’s love story started…with a DM.

To think, if Bianca had not opened her phone that day in February 2017 and saw Nimai on her instagram feed—shirtless and flexing his biceps—we might not be here today. (Yes, for the record, Bianca did DM Nimai first because that’s the kind of woman she is: she knows what she wants and goes after it.)

From the moment they began exchanging messages, they could tell there was more than simple attraction. Something magnetic. They could spend hours FaceTiming each other and never run out of things to talk about. They became best friends, before ever meeting in person..

After three long months, Bianca courageously flew to California to meet Nimai for the first time. Their connection was like nothing either of them had ever felt before. When it came time for Bianca to return to Florida, they both wept and longed for more time together. Soon after, Nimai encouraged Bianca to move across the country to California so she could advance her career (and, selfishly, be closer to him).

The consistent theme of Bianca and Nimai’s relationship is one of encouragement. Both of them have continuously encouraged each other to up level their lives in so many ways. From moving across the country, to pivoting careers, to starting businesses, and even confronting and integrating the darkest parts of themselves. They’ve stood by each others side through the good times and the challenging times. They’ve spoken on stages together all over the world.
