When You Know, You Know

Picture of When You Know, You Know

This truly is my favorite love story to tell...
We met on POF of all places. I was looking to get over someone and she was...just looking. Instead, we ran into each other. And the connection was instant! We talked about music and movies and books. We shared our Hogwarts houses (both Slytherin, yes!!). And we just talked. By the time our conversation, well messaging session, was over it was like we'd been friends for ages! We'd made plans to go see the Backstreet Boys, and For King and Country. But first, she gave me her number. I didn't commit it to memory, and I was going to call Anna a mere 9ish hours later. However, sometime between getting off the phone and waking up, about 5-6 hours, my POF account had been deleted. And I'd lost her.
I looked everywhere I could think of, but, all I'd known about her was her name and that she was from Lowellville. I didn't ask any of my friends, because that just seemed implausible that any of my friends would know her and I didn't.
So I chalked it up to chance and possibly dreaming her up, and tried to move on. Though I never succeeded in getting her out of my head. Then Easter happened!
Easter of 2020, we were just about one month in to the Covid shutdown, and I was at work getting food together for Frontline Workers, and she found me on Match.com!!
I immediately wanted to apologize and assure her that I hadn't ghosted her. But instead, I started with "So, how's the pandemic treating you?". And the rest is history!
We've endured a breakup, illness, school, a pandemic and even death, and we only come out stronger with a greater love, deeper connection and an even greater understanding of each other.
Our love and the life we have is the greatest blessing we have ever known. We are so thankful to God, and so grateful to everyone that has supported us along the way. This day is truly a celebration of what God has done in our lives.
