Our love story began while locked inside studying for Physician Assistant School at Marist College during the COVID 19 pandemic. While the COVID social restrictions had produced a societal lockdown, PA school marched on. We had both moved into our respective houses in Poughkeepsie, NY where we would live for 2 years while attending school. At this time only a couple of us from school moved to NY.


On a hot July night in 2020, my roommate and I decided we should form a study group with the other house that had moved to NY, this being the house John had lived at. And as you can see the rest is history....


What started as a friendship quickly progressed into something much deeper and beautiful. Through long and stressful days filled trying to cram as much information as we could in our memories, we both discovered the similarities we shared.


Our first date was at El Guacamole in Hyde Park, NY on November 6th. We both loved Mexican food and still love it to this day, it is actually what we love to do on a Friday night. Anyways, on this first date I knew something was different...John got out of the car and opened the door for me...like a true gentleman....that was the first thing that made me fall in love (because you dont see that anymore) and then we proceeded into the restaurant. It was a very cold night but we wanted to sit outside (because we are always inside studying)...but it was November and probably around 40 degrees. But that didnt matter. We talked for hours and laughed. I then noticed Johns fingernails were turning blue..and I asked if he was cold, he obviously said yes. At that moment I knew the second thing I loved about him. He would sit outside for HOURS even if he was freezing just to make someone happy. I could go on and on about how much I love him but Im sure you all know since we are getting married...

We bonded over shared interests, related senses of humor, and indistinguishable visions of the future. We were able to make lifelong memories with not only each other, but our friends alongside us during that time. Following graduation, we moved into an apartment together, started our careers, and continued to grow our love through mutual support and continued attention to creating new, amazing memories together. We became engaged on September 19th, 2023 on top of Mauna Kea on the Island of Hawaii, and adopted our first family member, our cat Cora, in August 2024.


Our story is only growing bigger and we are beyond excited and thankful for all of you that will be joining us on our most special day!
