Our story began on a diving boat, where a shared sense of adventure (and maybe a bit of destiny) brought us together. What started as a spontaneous encounter turned into something extraordinary as our romance flourished during the quiet, unexpected days of COVID. We quickly discovered that our love for cheese, wine, and exploring new places was just the beginning of a beautiful journey. Since then, we’ve built a life filled with laughter, love, and countless adventures. Whether we’re discovering new destinations or simply enjoying a cozy night in, we’ve found that life is always better when shared. Now, we’re taking the next big step—making it official! Getting to Trenčín &amp; Accommodation Recommendations Trenčín is located in northwestern Slovakia, approximately 120 km from Bratislava and 190 km from Vienna. We highly recommend that our guests stay in Trenčín and drive to the wedding venue on the day of the celebration. The town offers a variety of accommodations and is conveniently located for an easy and comfortable journey to the venue. If you need any recommendations or assistance, feel free to reach out! Travel Options to Trenčín You can fly into either Vienna or Bratislava, depending on your departure airport. From there, several transportation options are available to reach Trenčín, including car rentals and bus services. The drive typically takes about 2 to 2.5 hours via the motorway. Driving TipsWe recommend using Waze for navigation.If you’re driving on Slovak motorways, you’ll need to purchase a Slovak motorway e-vignette (required for toll roads). The 10-day vignette costs €12.50 and can be purchased online. Trenčín, Bibi's hometown, is a beautiful and historic city in western Slovakia. It sits along the Váh River, the longest river in Slovakia. Known for its rich history and stunning scenery, Trenčín is often referred to as "the Pearl of Považie."

The castle of Trenčín&nbsp;dominates not only the city of Trenčín but also the whole of Považie region. It was built in the 11th century as a border fortress, guarding important fords of Váh river and the Carpathian ghauts through which trade routes passed. In the following centuries, it became the seat of the border district, then the royal and later aristocratic county. Today, in its ancient premises, there are exhibition spaces and&nbsp;several expositions of the Trenčín Museum.&nbsp;The tour of the castle is a very interesting experience. The Legend of Fatima and Omar&nbsp;is associated with the castle of Trenčín. The rumour says that the castle lord Stephen Zapolya captured the beautiful Turkish princess Fatima and the Turkish prince Omar, who loved Fatima, was given the task of digging a well in the castle. For four years he had to dig into the rock to bring the water to the castle and then was released along with Fatima. The well is 80 m deep and is also known as the&nbsp;well of love.

Bojnice is one of our favourite places to visit. Bojnice is best known for its popular tourist attractions, among them being the&nbsp;largest zoo in Slovakia and the Bojnice Castle, and generally for being one of the oldest&nbsp;spa towns&nbsp;in Slovakia.

Hot Air Balloon Ride 

If you love adrenaline and want to test your skills, try the Tarzania rope park in Brezina. Among the treetops, you’ll find 22 platforms and various rope obstacles, positioned at different heights ranging from 5 to 10 meters above the ground. You can choose between an easier (blue) or a&nbsp;more challenging (red) route. There’s no need to worry about safety—steel cables will secure you, and instructors will explain the proper way to use the safety equipment before you start. Tarzania also caters to the youngest adventurers with a&nbsp;special children’s&nbsp;course. The obstacles are set at a&nbsp;lower height, allowing parents to assist their kids if needed. Of course, children will be securely harnessed to prevent any falls. And while you’re at the rope park, don’t miss the nearby maze. Its tangled pathways will challenge your sense of direction as you search for the exit or chase your opponents in a&nbsp;thrilling game.
