Mitch's family have been holidaying at Barton Park for years, since Mitch and Daniel were young boys. In 2022, the Frost family took Bibi & Christie too. The site was beautiful and we all said: "what a beautiful place for a wedding!".

When booking a wedding date, there was plenty to consider. Most of all, it had to be in the school holidays, and not fall on a holiday like Easter. There were only 2 weekends in the April school holidays for 2025, one was easter and the other was the 26th of April. Turns out, 26th of April also happens to be the birthday of a very special person, Mitch's Uncle Troy, who passed away in 2020 and who we wish very very much could be there to celebrate our wedding. Having our wedding on such a special day to us is a way of not only honouring Uncle Troy but also having him with us on our most special day.

As much as we both ADORE all the kids our loved ones have, we have decided to make our special day "kid free" so that our guests can let loose and celebrate without having to worry about anything! (Also so Bibi doesn't spend the whole night with the kids instead of with Mitch)
