I came into school a year later than the rest of the school my age. I had received a job as the accompanist for our school choir. The first day of school, insecure me walks into choir class, not knowing anyone awkwardly trying to get to the piano.
When I sat down, a wave of anxiety hit me. I thought that I would be horrible and embarrass myself. Then, across the piano, I saw the most beautiful alto I had ever seen. I decided that I would play well.
Later, I got a job at our campus coffee shop, and turns out, she worked there too! Great! However, I was too nervous to actually ask her out on a date or share my feelings with her. I would just conveniently be at the Doc Lacey’s when she was working.
Finally, one day, she found out....

I came into choir on the first day of school and was immediately distraught by the disrespect of all of the freshmen who were hovering around the piano. "Excuse you. The accompanist sits there" I thought to myself.
After I had made my way to my chair in the alto section, I sat down, increasing in disgust by the sheer disrespect of all of the freshmen, they started to make their way to their rightful places... except for one. Him.
My disgust grew. "How dare he?! Doesn't he get the hint? Everyone else sat down! Our accompanist is going to be so upset..." Until it was announced that he was the accompanist.
6 months after that, I also found out that he liked me.
And, well, here we are now...
