My oldest best friend! We both love art, a good cocktail, and a good campfire !

We meet as fine-arts coworkers at Sunnyvale Middle School back in 2010. Our friendship grew as we began to hang out together and go to church together. She is kind, fun, and loves camping as much as I do.

Linda and I are in Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. We enjoy eating, being creative, and having fun together playing games. She is fun, kind, and always in the mood to being active.

Jeremy and I met over 18 years ago. I have known this man longer than any other friend in my life. We met the summer of 2000 at Lake Havasu and such a trip has continued as a ritual in our friendship over the years, spending many of summers soaking in the sun out on the waters of Lake Havasu. We have seen each other overcome the battle of our fleshly addictions, battle through the loss of parents, and find success in graduating from college. We live, love, and laugh as two brothers in the faith and have no problem calling each other out of and into the life God is calling us live. Some of the qualities I appreciate most about Jeremy are his genuineness, we share great humor, he has an admirable hard work ethic that has lead to a fortitude of success, and he is supportive in my life.

Barney is one of the most inspirational men I have ever known, whom stands up against even my best professors at the prestigious Biola University. After graduating college, and a short stent in Texas, I moved to Seattle in 2009 to work for one of the fastest growing mega-churches in America. I was driven and living off adrenaline yet lost and in search of understanding the complexities of my soul and the chaos that was hidden underneath the floating iceberg of my soul. Barney took a journey with me through the most healing, transformative, and enlightening time of my life. Through my vulnerability and his fatherly nurturing I learned to take an honest look at the self-destructive tendencies I had been living out of since my youth, find rest in Jesus and peace in the face of life’s adversity. Along this path we were blessed to take many adventures exploring the magnificent and awe-inspiring nature of Washington while indulging the pursuit of delightful intellectual conversations. Barney is truly one in a billion!

One of the best of many roommates I have had over the years. We too met in Seattle and Matt joined Barney and I in our journey of the soul and myriad of outdoor adventures. It was both an honor and great joy to participate in his development, as he in mine, as we aspired to grow in our character through various book reads and numerous hours discussing everything from theology, politics, love, to the meaning of life as we lounged about the house during the stark cold of the Seattle winter. Oh how I miss the many adventures and goofy stunts we used to pull- like literally riding a tree stump down the road as Matt pulled it with a chain behind his Cherokee or using a rope to be pulled behind the Cherokee while sledding down the street as he drifted around the roads after a huge dump of snow. Doesn’t get much better for two Country Boys stuck in such a progressive “civilized” society.

Marcelo is my good friend from Bolivia that brings diversity and authenticity to my life. One that resulted from my extrovertness and willingness to make friends through the most random encounters. We share a mutual interest this way. We met several years back while Blair and I were out on a date at Red River- the biggest country dance hall in Texas. I challenged them to a couple’s game of pool and the friendship took off from there. Marcelo has been a terrific friend and continual support in my pursuit of Blair. We enjoy playing pool and going to concerts, while having genuine conversations about our lives. Marcelo has a hilarious story full of adventure and calamity as a result of joining me on his first ever camping trip of his life. Ask him to share.;)

I meet Leigh through my sorority , XiXi Kappa. She loves Science and has a love for rocks, animals, and traveling. We enjoy talking about places she has gone, interesting food, animals, and even sometimes rocks. We both love to explore what the DFW has to offer and go on adventures together. She is a great friend to have.

Josette is also in my sorority, Beta Sigma Phi. She is fun, kind, and funny. We both have a heart to find opportunities to serve the needy, love music, love to laugh, and enjoy quality time with our friends.
