In March 2020, we both boarded the Norwegian Sun not expecting COVID-19 or to meet the love of our life. Between Blakes dance moves & karaoke skills it was hard not to notice him. For Blake, of course, it was my personality. (Thank you Elizabeth for making us talk).
Unfortunately, right after landing in Orlando, FL we learned the world was shutting down and our senior year at Mississippi State was going to look very different. After several months of isolation and Blake ignoring a few snapchats, we hung out for the first time.
Thankfully, we were both moving to Memphis and were able to hang out more. Blake asked me to be his girlfriend right in front of Outback Steakhouse, pure romance. Through meeting one another's family's and friends, our relationship kept developing.
After a year in Memphis, we moved to Jacksonville, FL where we have been making a home between the two of us and the best dog, Isla Marie.
I knew Blake was my one early on, Blake caught up and on September 23rd, 2023 he proposed. He told me that he was taking me to brunch, an estate sale, and on a walk in San Marco. He distracted me by saying he HAD to play golf that afternoon, eliminating any hope for me. As soon as we got to the park, Blake was a wreck and I was confused.
"I love you, You're my best pal. Will you marry me?"
