Our story is kind of out of a movie, you could say. We are two people who love to sing and dance and we met doing what we love! 💃🏼🕺🏻
It was a regular Saturday September night in downtown Billings. Most young people are at this very classy joint, Daisy Dukes, singing and dancing, having a blast. Tomas and I are there doing the same.
Little did we know that our lives would be changing forever that night.
I was there with a gal pal, she was hanging out at the bar with her date and I was being the great wing woman I am, and all the sudden a tall, dark, handsome man walks up to me wearing a nice button up Ariat shirt and black cowboy asks me dance. The only problem, I could barely understand him! 🤦🏻♀️
Tomas had to ask me three times “would you like to dance??” I eventually understand and said yes. We were able to get the last dance of the night in before the lights turned on and we didn’t have to go home but we couldn’t stay there.
Tomas walked me to my pickup and we sat there for a couple hours just talking and being smitten with each other. He tells that he had his eye on me all night. He says that the first time he came tried coming over to me on the dance floor but ran into someone he knew and when he looked over to where I was, I was gone. Now this was later in the night so he thought that I had left. But then a couple songs later he saw me sitting on a bar stool by myself, he speed walked over to me and was finally able to ask me to dance!
After that night we always made sure to meet up and get a dance in on the sticky, slippery, loud dance floor of Daisy Dukes and the rest is history.
I have a funny story, I ran into a group of girls from high school, probably a year before Tomas and I met, and most of them were married and very happy with life. One of them asked me “what are you doing here? (Daisy Dukes)” I said “just having fun and looking for a husband” 🤪 she replied “Oh girl you’ll never find that here, this place is the worst!”
Im glad she was wrong 🥰
