The couple first met on a Thursday night at a Halloween dance in Wayne NE. A mutual friend introduced each other and the rest is history…. Right? ..Wrong!

It took a few cocktails of encouragement before Blake finally asked her to dance. But! the dance lasted long enough for each other to exchange names before Carrie's friends dragged their only designated driver away. Thankful for their mutual friend, Blake was able to get Carrie's Snapchat and wasted no time sending the first message. By that Saturday Blake had already talked Carrie into their first date. Now Carrie wasn't sure what the date was, so she asked if jeans were okay. Blake responded with a simple text, ''Yep that will work.'' To her surprise, Blake was taking her to one of his best friends, sister's wedding reception.
