Neighbours to Lovers

We, like many, met on a dating app. After talking for a couple weeks, we decided to go on a date and meet. Before meeting we discovered that we share the exact same address... Turns out, we were both living in the same 6-plex development. Blake in unit 509, and Haley in 101. It was either going to be a cute and convenient set-up, or a nightmare if it didnt work out. Thankfully, it was the first. Blake even shovelled Haleys walkway before she got home from work before their date.. foreshadowing his favourite job at home now (kidding). We instantly found a lot to talk about and it didnt take long before we were spending all our free time together. 106 steps (whos counting) from one doorstep to the other was incredibly convenient. We each had our own space, but could be there for one another in a heartbeat. After Blake met and got to know Austyn, the rest of our relationship fell together pretty naturally after we moved in together. We continued to make memories in our rental house with Austyn and our two cats, before purchasing our first home in Parkview May 2023. Shortly after, we got our first and only dog together, a goofy Chesapeake Retriever named Cash. We enjoy travelling different places to see family and making the most of our days off. Long weekends spent at turtle lake, holidays either in Lloydminster or Mannville and the occasional trip to somewhere new. Weve been to Toronto and Vancouver and plan to travel much more (as time and Grandparents allow). In September 2025 we welcomed our baby boy Walker. Life has been nothing but a beautiful whirlwind lately and we are looking forward to solidifying our family even more at the wedding. Although we are in the midst of working, raising children and planning a wedding, we manage to prioritize and nourish our love for one another. We have been through a lot of change, some hardship and some great times together. We are excited to continue our journey for the rest of our lives. Considering all we have accomplished together we still like to joke and refer to each other as neighbours although, we agree that we never truly were.
