Blake and my story is one that should have started a few years earlier. However, God had different plans, and our paths would cross at just the right time. Both of us attended Oklahoma Christian University at the same time. We had mutual connections, but never crossed paths. After graduation, Blake moved to Texas, and I finished school and started working in Oklahoma City. In April of 2024, Blake and I both swiped right. Blake immediately messaged me, commenting on my football glasses in my profile picture. This quickly started a conversation where we bonded over our love of sports. In the coming days, Blake would ask me on a date; however, I would not answer him for two hours. Our first date was April 5, 2024. The date went great, and we quickly scheduled another date for the next day. After that day, we never stopped hanging out. The next year would be one of happy moments and also a lot of hard moments. However, I would not have wanted to do it with anyone else. Blake often says, "It's me and you against the world". A year and a day from our first date, Blake asked me to marry him in my backyard. I quickly said yes! We are so excited for October and to spend the rest of our lives together!
