The first girl I had ever had eyes for was my blakeley, and I could not be happier. Living 3 hours apart from each other, my family called me crazy for wanting to come and meet a girl I asked out over a text, but as motivated as I was, I saw nothing wrong with it. Throughout the first date all she and I felt were butterflies, but at the same time it had felt like we had known each other forever. It was in Land between the lakes national park, on our second date where I would take blakeley out to a beautiful spot under a bridge, 40 feet above the water as the sun set, and ask her to be my girlfriend.
Growing together had both of our families wanting to meet and get to know each other. I met Blakeley’s parents on the third ever date and they were ecstatic. I blended into the family from day one, getting along and making it seem like I had known them all along as well. From meeting the parents and shaking hands, to 10 minutes later wrestling her little brother and throwing him around in the pool it was a joy to be a part of such an amazing bunch.
With her always on my mind, and an opportunity ahead, I decided to not have any regrets and moved down to jackson. After moving and getting comfortable, an opportunity presented itself to move into my own house about 2 minutes away from blakeley and I took it. This decision did nothing but fuel my love for her and hers to mine.
