Can kids come to the wedding?
The ceremony and reception are adult only for safety and capacity reasons.
Where should we stay?
We’d love for guests to stay at the Caribe with us. There are plenty of 3rd party rental options in the orange beach area, as well as other resorts and hotels. Please see the travel tab for more information on how to book at the Caribe and other travel details.
Are the ceremony and reception in the same place?
Both the ceremony and reception are at the Caribe Resort. The ceremony is on the breezeway lawn and the reception is on the lazy river deck. Guests will be directed to both locations. The lazy river deck is walking distance from the ceremony. Shuttles will be available for short transport if needed.
What should we wear?
We feel “beach cocktail casual” can be defined as a mixture of midi-long beachy dresses, khakis/slacks, Hawaiian shirts, button ups, sports coats, etc. If you know us, you know we’re pretty casual, but there will be a mixture of formal military uniforms and casual feel. We’re at the beach, therefore, no outfit will be out of place! Feel free to even wear flip flops (if you’re anything like the groom who loves a good pants and flip flops outfit).
Please just reach out to us directly if you have any specific outfit questions!
Where do we park?
Guests staying at the Caribe will park in their assigned parking place. Guests coming from outside the Caribe will be directed through the main gate to a guest parking lot.
Will the Caribe run out of rooms?
According to the site manager, NO! There should be plenty of space for our guests to stay at the Caribe. As of August 1st, 2025, there’s over 190 condos available.
Condos range from 2-4 bedrooms. They are very spacious with several bathrooms in each. We recommend rooming with other guests to split condo costs and enjoy the convenience of being walking distance to wedding activities!
The Caribe website isn’t letting me book. What’s wrong?
We apologize for the inconvenience if the website is giving you troubles. You may have these for a couple reasons.
1. You can only book online if staying for at least 3 nights. Please see the travel tab for how to contact the Caribe if staying for less than 3 nights.
2. The website could be glitching and indicating there’s no availability, but we assure you there is! Please call the Caribe at the number on the travel tab if you have these issues.
Make sure to use WRIGHTWEDDING code for the discounted rate. If the code isn’t working for you, please call the Caribe at the number on the travel tab to ensure you receive the discount.
Where are you registered?
We are registered on Amazon, Crate and Barrel, Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn and West Elm. Some of our registered gifts will show up on the Knot wedding website and are linked directly for easy access. Pottery barn, West Elm and Williams Sonoma are no longer partnered with The Knot and do not show up on the registry list. However.
, direct links to those individual registries are included on the wedding website registry tab.
Where should gifts be shipped?
First, we are so grateful for our friends and family asking this question and wanting to send gifts. We couldn’t be more blessed! Gifts can be sent to our California address. Our address is linked in the registry websites. Please contact Gil or Blue directly if you have any questions. Please note that we will be flying from California for the wedding, so shipping gifts to our home address is preferred!
What will the weather be like?
October in Alabama could be 90 degrees or 30 degrees. You never know! Make sure to check the forecast before traveling to Orange Beach, and help us pray for perfect fall weather!
What if it rains?
First, we will dance in the rain! Second, there is a backup indoor space at the Caribe in case of unfavorable weather. We will send communications to guests via email and/or text if any last minute changes need to take place.
IMPORTANT ABOUT PARKING: Don’t get towed!!
IMPORTANT: If staying at the Caribe, make sure to utilize your assigned parking space within the Caribe gates. If you are a guest coming from outside the Caribe, guest parking will be provided inside the Cairbe gate the day of the wedding.
The parking lot at the Caribe Marina (outside of the gates) WILL TOW your vehicle if you park there and are not a customer of the Marina. The same goes for Cobalt restaurant. Only park in that parking lot if you are a customer of the restaurant. The parking lot across from the Cobalt restaurant (‘Alabama point’ on the pass/gulf side) is a pay to park lot for the beach only. You will be towed if you park here for Cobalt or the Caribe.
