When I told Jay we had to create a website for the wedding and one of the pieces was the write out our story, he said “We met and we fell in love, what more is there.” In truth for us, it was just that! The “click” as some call it was almost instant. Similar passions, similar taste, counter weighing personalities that help to ease and juggle the stress that life throws at you. Me (B), I could sit in turmoil over crafting the perfectly detailed and expertly written timeline of our love and story but as Jay lays here on the couch half in a food coma merely saying how easy it should be, I will try to let go a-bit. In reality that’s not what our story is really about…perfection, detail, and anxiety. Love is beautiful, passionate, wild, it’s a rollercoaster sometimes!
Our story is about the never-ending love I found when I met Jason Day. The love we share on a daily basis, through the ups and downs of life. The late-night laughter at Waffle House or a midnight movie. Favorite date nights out to the arcade or bowling, possibly including a target run if there's one close by (because he's just as happy with target as I am). The many vacation stories we have, anywhere from Virginia for last minute Nascar races all the way down to Florida to spend a week at Disney. The communication skills we have developed and built together. The compassion and selflessness even after an argument, where we both apologize and never go to bed angry at one another (love isn't always perfect). This past year has been full of milestones for us as well. There has been a lot of growth and a lot of stress, but not once have I seen a crack from the pressure, I've seen growth. We purchased our first home moving almost an hour from where we were staying in Raleigh, we celebrated our engagement, as well as a change in careers for the both of us! Our story is that April 10, 2021 was the first day, November 18, 2023 was the yes day, and September 28, 2024 will be the best day. This day will be the beginning of the next step in our story. I finally get to call him my HUSBAND and best friend. We are so happy to have you all join us as we celebrate this big day and this new start!
