On September 10, 2017, two people attended a charity event called The Event, which took place at Mohawk Golf Club in Schenectady, NY. Towards the end of the event, one of those people thought they recognized the other from high school and just had to go say hello. He approached her and said, "Did you go to Shaker?" She didn't recognize him at first, as their conversation progressed, or the next day when he texted a follow up message (which she ignored for several months). Luckily, he got a second chance when she posted a selfie in a Giants jersey. He sent a selfie with the caption, "Aren't you embarrassed to be wearing that jersey?" Fair question - the Giants were, and still are, quite embarrassing. However, luckily for him, his cute face and silly charm caught her attention. They began messaging on Snapchat, she replied to his original message that he had sent months earlier, and the rest was history!
