Cecilia and Bobby Joe met online and spent three years trying to make their first date happen. It finally did—on October 4, 2024—over football, when Bobby Joe casually mentioned he didn’t watch games on Sundays. That changed quickly. Now, he’s a proud “Go Niners!” fan, and Cecilia has joined the “Roll Tide” family!
Their love blossomed through shared moments with family, quiet time with their dogs, and unforgettable adventures. Their first trip was a nine-hour road trip to Pennsylvania to see George Strait and Chris Stapleton, where Bobby Joe earned the title of “Passenger Prince” and Backseat Driver—leaving Cecilia asking, “But did you die?” From there, the adventures only got wilder. They set sail on a seven-day Halloween cruise through Mexico, Belize, and Honduras, joined by Cecilia’s best friend Kiki and fueled by a drink package that kept the good times flowing. They dove into tequila and rum tastings, bounced through Jeep tours, lounged on resort beaches, and made furry and feathered friends—sloths, macaws, monkeys, and iguanas. After a year of dating, Bobby Joe asked for the blessing of his future mother-in-law and daughter-in-law. Then, on September 11, 2025, he proposed. Now, they’re overjoyed to exchange vows and become Mr. and Mrs. on October 5, 2026—surrounded by the people who mean the most.
