It all began at Eastern Oklahoma State College in January 2022. Blake was a sophomore, and Bode was a freshman. Both had just returned from winter break and were adjusting to being back in class.

One morning, Blake got up for Chemistry 2, but, out of habit, she accidentally walked into a Chemistry 1 classroom instead. As people began to fill the room, Blake looked around, confused, thinking, "Who are all these people?" Before she could figure out her mistake, a guy sat down next to her. Thinking she was in her usual class, Blake casually said, “Someone sits there.” The guy looked at her and replied, “Yeah, I do.” That’s when it clicked—she was in the wrong class. Embarrassed, she grabbed her stuff and practically ran out.

Fast forward about a week. Blake was hanging out with friends in the dorms, but as the evening went on, she started feeling like a third wheel. She mentioned she was going to call it a night when one of her friend’s boyfriends said, “I know someone you’d hit it off with!” He gave Blake his Snapchat, and after a quick exchange, Blake invited the mystery guy over.

He showed up around midnight, and the group spent hours playing games and laughing. Around 3 a.m., everyone began heading to bed—everyone except Blake and this guy. They were hitting it off and couldn’t stop talking.

By the time the clock crept up to 7 a.m., the man admitted he had to leave for the baseball team's breakfast. But before he left, he turned to Blake and said, “By the way, I was the guy who sat next to you in Chemistry 1 that day.” Blake was stunned—it was the same guy!

From that moment on, Blake and Bode spent every spare minute they had together at Eastern Oklahoma State College. What started as a classroom mix-up quickly turned into the beginning of their love story.
