It all started in Junior year English as a sweet friendship bloomed. Many group hang outs and chance meet-ups in old town Scottsdale happened over the next 14 years. After a long hiatus, I (Bonnie) decided it had been too long and shot a "Hey Stranger" text Jay's way. We made plans to grab drinks the next night after work. For some reason I (Bonnie) was extremely nervous and cancelled the event. Jay wasn't too thrilled and almost didn't want to reschedule. Thank goodness he had a change of heart and did in fact decide to grab drinks the next night. Jay was sitting at the bar when I got there and I literally was stopped dead in my tracks. I told myself I had 2 choices... 1. I could leave and never talk to him again or 2. I could go to him, have drinks, and marry him some day. You can all guess what my decision was. Man am I glad I sent that text and that we had drinks that night. We've had the best 4 years dating and are beyond thrilled to start our lives together as husband and wife.
