Our Wedding

Bonnie and Wyatt’s story began in June 2021 at Monterey Bay Whale Watch, aboard the Sea Wolf 2. Wyatt had just graduated from Dominican University of California, and began working as a research intern in Monterey. Bonnie had been working as a research intern/deckhand while finishing up her degree in marine science at Cal State Monterey Bay. At the time, neither of them were looking for a relationship, however fate had other plans. Their first real connection happened during a casual outing with coworkers. Bonnie ran into Wyatt and invited him to join. Wyatt agreed and joined the group at the local brewery. While chatting, they discovered they were both twins—a revelation that sparked a deeper conversation. Their good friend Rose, now one of Bonnie’s bridesmaids, still recalls watching the connection begin that afternoon. The next week Wyatt invited Bonnie to lunch before a crew bonfire. Wyatt sneakily paid for the lunch, a gesture that left Bonnie wondering if Wyatt saw their relationship as more than just friendship. Once Bonnie caught on, she began to fall hard. Originally having no intention of getting into anything serious, she called her friend Erin, now a bridesmaid, to admit that plans had changed—she believed she was starting to fall for Wyatt. At the same time, Wyatt was reaching out to his close friends and family, sharing the same realization. The relationship quickly took off. Within a few weeks of meeting, Wyatt had already met Bonnie’s mom and siblings. He then asked Bonnie to be his girlfriend at the very same location where he would one day ask her to be his wife, the New Brighton Cliffs near Capitola, CA. Within the first few months of their relationship, Bonnie graduated from California State University Monterey Bay, and Wyatt began making plans to work in Alaska. Just seven months in, the pair packed six months worth of belongings into Bonnie’s Subaru Crosstrek and headed to Juneau for their first season as naturalists at Allen Marine Tours. They moved into their first studio apartment together, unaware that Juneau would become a second home. Over time, they traded their little studio for an even smaller trailer and worked their way up to becoming captains. From those early moments, Bonnie and Wyatt’s love has only grown stronger. Together, they’ve shared countless laughs, unforgettable adventures, and dreams of their future. They are thrilled to begin this next chapter surrounded by the family and friends who mean so much to them.

Meet Emily, the Maid of Honor and Bonnie’s twin sister. While they may have been known for their childhood feuds, they’ve come a long way and are now the best of friends! Their bond has only grown stronger in adulthood, and Bonnie couldn’t be more grateful to have Emily by her side on this special day. From playful sibling rivalry to being each other’s biggest supporters, their journey together has been full of love, laughter, and growth. Bonnie is so excited to have her twin as her Maid of Honor!

Meet Erin, one of the bride's dearest friends since high school. She made a lasting impression on the bride from day one, being the very first person to introduce herself on her first day at a new school. Over the years, Erin has stood Bonnie through thick and thin, offering unwavering support during some of the toughest moments in her life. Their bond is truly special, and she couldn’t be more excited to stand by her side on this unforgettable day!

Meet Rose, another cherished friend of Bonnie's from high school. Bonnie has always looked up to Rose and hoped to build a friendship with her upon first meeting Rose. Over the years, that connection has only deepened. Their bond began on a high school trip to CIMI (Catalina Island Marine Institute), where they were roommates and shared unforgettable adventures—snorkeling with leopard sharks and kayaking with common dolphins. Their mutual love for the ocean has been a constant in their friendship ever since. Rose, Bonnie, and Wyatt also worked together at Monterey Bay Whale Watch, where they shared even more special moments. Bonnie is beyond excited to have Rose standing by her side on this unforgettable day!

Meet Alex, Wyatt’s  sister-in-law and soon-to-be sister-in-law to Bonnie! From the very beginning, Alex has been incredibly welcoming, supportive, and a true role model to both Wyatt and Bonnie, making her an essential part of their journey. Over the past four years, Bonnie and Alex have grown close, and they’ve become wonderful friends. Bonnie can’t wait to officially call Alex her sister and is so grateful to have her by her side on this special day!

Meet Wyatt’s best man, his twin brother, Ben. While they may be vastly different in many ways, they’ve always found a way to support and challenge each other. From childhood to now, Ben and Wyatt have each played a key role in the other’s life, offering encouragement and a different perspective when needed. Ben is proud to stand by his brother on this special day, ready to celebrate the next chapter in Wyatt’s life!

Meet Johnny, Luke, and Jonah—Wyatt's best friends for over 10 years. Their friendship began back in high school through mutual friends and their involvement in the Associated Students Body at Rocklin High. Though life led each of them down different paths and after graduation and different places for work—Johnny in San Diego, Luke in New York, and Jonah in Florida, and Wyatt in Alaska—they’ve always made it a priority to stay connected. Whether through weekend trips to visit each other at their respective schools or their ever-active, 10+ year-old group chat, their bond has remained strong. Today, they're excited to stand by Wyatt’s side as he celebrates his big day.

Meet Maxwell. Wyatt and Maxwell first crossed paths when Maxwell was moving into the dorms at Dominican University of California in 2017. As part of the soccer team’s move-in crew, Wyatt helped Maxwell settle in, the whole time Maxwell's family thought Wyatt was a helpful upperclassman—only to discover they were both freshmen and suite mates. The two became fast friends, living together for two years and many trips to the cabin since!

Meet Ryan, Wyatt’s older brother. From the very beginning of their engagement, Bonnie and Wyatt knew it would be incredibly special to have Wyatt’s older brother, Ryan, officiate their ceremony. Ryan, along with his wife Alex, have been a constant example of what a healthy, beautiful marriage looks like. Their love and partnership have inspired Bonnie and Wyatt since their relationship began in 2021. Ryan has always been a great example for him and his twin brother (and best man) Ben throughout their lives. Having Ryan officiate feels like the perfect way to honor the love and support that has inspired the couple they are today.

This resort has about 10 studio cabins right on Rollins lake. This location is a beautiful spot to enjoy the lake and is only about 15 minutes from the wedding venue, about 20 minutes from downtown grass valley. This venue is also the location of the cocktails and dessert with the bride and groom on Thursday October 3rd.

This hotel is right off the highway, and is about 10 miles (~25 minutes) away from the welcome cocktail and dessert venue, the wedding venue, and downtown grass valley.
