At the end of November 2023, while Christmas door decorating at school with Kelesy she asked if she could introduce me to someone. I trusted her so I said yes and thought why not. Though, I thought it probably would not work out.

December

Fast forward 2 or 3 weeks, while we were setting up for a church event we were introduced. We sat and talked in the car with Kelsey and Nick for over 2 hours.

As we were talking the idea of the Pennsylvania Farm Show was brought up and how fun it is, it was said "We should all go together on one of the Saturdays". I had to turn it down because a friend was getting married in Vermont that weekend {Brian still thinks that I made this up and it was a polite way of turning him down.}

January 1st

On New Year's day we played board games at Kelsey and Nick’s house. He asked the best question: What time period in history is your favorite? I left feeling very interested and intrigued.

January 21st

At the end of January, our Young Adult Sunday School class decided to do a restaurant crawl in Altoona. We rode with Kelesy and Nick. When we got to the first restaurant the layout of the restaurant had Stadium seating where we got to sit beside each other. When we got ready to leave Brian said he'll just pay for mine because it was more convenient. It was a busy restaurant so I just went along with it. When we got to the next restaurant and got seated. We were squished at the end of a large table.

Brian asked politely if we could add another table to the end. The waiter who misunderstood then proceeded to move us to a booth that happened to be right in front of the whole group like we were on a stage. I thought that this was awkward. The group smiled and made faces at us for the rest of the time we were at the restaurant. We talked and enjoyed sharing fajitas, and ,you guessed it, he paid again. Then we go to Sweet Frog and I finally get away with paying only because he went to the bathroom. I then watched him help the Sweet Frog workers clean up a mess with the trash bags leaking all over the floor. I saw that he was so thoughtful.

After this, he finally asked me out on an official date. On our first date 2/2/23 we went to a local restaurant here in Mcveytown.

After we had gone out on probably four dates, he drove me back to my house and proceeded to take my hand, this was the first time he held my hand. Then he asked “So what are we? Where do you see this going?" I was freaking out of my head because I didn't want to lose him and I really cared about him, but I was still trying to figure all this out in my head and I said "well, I am really fond of you and I would like to spend more time with you". This is the night we officially became boyfriend and girlfriend. 2/23/23

What followed was a crazy adventure filled with bad pizza, car breakdowns, pie dates at Country Kitchen, and a very very very very cold FFA auction. During that last one my heated vest ran out of battery and by the end of the auction my lips were blue.

Last summer... I often pestered Brian while he was at work. Just kidding, I mostly slept on the couch while he worked, and I even managed to organize his house. When he was not working we had fun playing in the dirt creating a big garden with tons of tomatoes, peppers, and other veggies. We traveled and explored lots of fairs. Where we won a big fluffy ribbon for my pumpkin. I went to Bellville's produce auction where I picked up more vegetables. Due to this and the garden lots of late-night canning took place.

Then school started :(

Brian helped me with lots of bulletin boards and decorating my classroom. We went to more auctions. I bought a new car and we both enjoyed having the old car gone. If you know you know.

Then on October 21th, 3 days after my birthday, there was a very special game night. We played games with friends and sisters, and it was on this special night that he asked me to be his wife and I said YES! This is where another chapter of the story begins and continues each day. We would love to have you all come and celebrate with us uniting to start the rest of our lives together.
