In Mikaela’s early college days at Baylor, all she wanted was a dance partner that wasn’t afraid to spin her around. She spent every weekend during her freshman year in the local dance hall in Waco trying to find her cowboy. She promised her momma that she would come home with a cowboy one day.	As a couple months in college went by, she thought it would be funny to download Tinder and find a cowboy that way since the dance hall wasn’t working out all too well. She genuinely was not looking for a relationship at this time, just wanted someone to dance with since everyone at the dance hall had a partner already.	Mikaela came across Bowden’s profile...and let's just say, I guess dating apps do really work! (Side note: y’all don’t even want to know what his pick up line was). She asked him if he knew how to dance and he said “well I dance my momma around the kitchen at home”. Long story short, Mikaela thought that was just so sweet and so wholesome.	Oddly enough, the couple actually matched when they were both in Houston at the same time over Christmas break, but after a little bit of conversation, they soon found out that they both lived in Waco (Bowden permanently, Mikaela temporarily while attending Baylor). While in Houston, Mikaela and her family were about to travel to Virginia to see their family. Bowden, insisting on coming over and meeting her in real life came over literally about 30 minutes before they had to leave for the airport.	Bowden was such a gentleman from day one. He even showed up in a Texas A&amp;M shirt, which if you know Mikaela’s dad, this was a huge plus from day one (he hasn't worn this shirt since then)! After that day, they continued to talk and eventually found a spark for each other after Bowden got invited as Mikaela’s date to one of her sorority events back in Waco. A couple weeks later of hanging out, Bowden asked her to be his girlfriend!	The couple has spent the last 6 years building their relationship and growing strong as a couple. They are currently residing in Fayetteville, Arkansas while Mikaela is working towards her Doctorate in Physical Therapy and Bowden is a roofing consultant. Together, they enjoy taking the boat out on the lake, traveling to new places, and loving on their precious doggos they have, Woodrow and Roscoe! On their most recent trip to Turks and Caicos back in May of 2024, Bowden finally did the dang thing and got down on one knee to ask Mikaela to spend the rest of their lives together!	They are beyond excited to share this special day with all their friends and loved ones and can’t wait to live a faithful life in marriage through our Lord and Savior! God bless!

Maddie is the sister of the bride! Not only are they sisters, but built-in best friends for life! They enjoy having sleepovers when both are home from college, walking around Target, and watching Love Island together!

Becca is the cousin of the bride! Being so close in age and in school, Mik and Bec have loved growing up together! They love to workout and play pickleball together whenever Mikaela is home from school!

Avery is Bowden’s cousin, but has gotten really close to Mikaela over the last few years! They can usually be seen together at the beach somewhere probably playing any and every sport you can imagine!

Shaye and Mik’s friendship started early on at Baylor while they were both on the Acrobatics and Tumbling team! Not only were they teammates, but quickly after getting back from COVID, they also became roommates all throughout the rest of college and are still besties to this day! You can usually find them on the lake, at a country concert, or wedding planning together!

Abby and Mik became besties and roomies during their studies in the  Masters of Athletic Training program at Baylor. You can usually find them traveling together somewhere or to visit each other in different states! If anyone is on FaceTime with Mik, it’s most likely Abby! They also both enjoy trivia nights and local coffee shops! 

Abby Fitzgibbons

McKenna and Mik were also roomies while Mik was in grad school! They share a lot of the same love for the outdoors and coffee shops! You can usually find them in some kind of nature or out on the lake! McKenna has definitely brought the outdoorsy/adventurous side out of Mik!

McKenna Garratt

Carter is the brother of the groom! They grew up spending most of their time hunting, fishing, and playing sports together. They enjoy trips to the coast, the mountains, or anywhere they can be out in nature, especially those where they can fish the whole time!

Carter Hooser

Brady is Bowden’s cousin! They grew up going to each other’s sporting events and fishing out at the lake. His favorite memories with Brady usually involve taking him deer hunting out at the ranch on the weekends!

Brady Ward

Hayden and Bowden met in college and became friends after fishing several tournaments together! They became so close that he is now even invited to their annual family beach trips!

Coop and Bowden grew up playing baseball against each other! Best times together were getting to hang out with each other, usually on the lake basically every day during Covid. 

Cooper Lane

Chase and Bowden also grew up playing baseball against each other. Now, they both enjoy playing video games with each other or fishing out on the lake!

Chase Keeton

Brady and Bowden have been friends for years, ever since Bowden used to live in Houston! They now share the same hunting lease in Goldthwaite so spend several weekends in the winter months in a deer stand!

Spring Colors Preferred! Flowy dresses, boots, jeans (for males), etc. Think Sunday best but something you can still bust a move in! It will be hot so dress accordingly!

10 kings and 10 doubles available for both nights on a first-come-first-serve basis! Can choose to book one night or both. $149 per night before taxes for both style rooms. Call and use the code Robinson-HooserWedding to receive group discount. Must book before May 4th, 2026 to get the rate, but I would highly encourage booking sooner as this will be Baylor’s graduation weekend! We also have the option to reserve more if need be, depending on demand and availability.

If you want something right in the middle of downtown Waco, this is a perfect option! Walking distance to local restaurants, bars and live music. Reservations can be made online using the link provided or by calling and mentioning Robinson/Hooser Wedding. Must book before April 1, 2026 to receive group rate. Rooms available from Thursday 5/14-Sunday 5/17. $299/night before taxes.

Aloft Waco Downtown 

There are lots of cute Airbnbs in the Waco area if you would prefer that over a hotel! Waco does have an airport, but it is usually more expensive to fly into. Unfortunately, most people fly into the DFW area or Austin’s airport, both about an hour and a half from Waco.

Baylor's campus is absolutely beautiful if you would like to just walk around! Live bear cubs in the middle of campus as well!
