Bowie and I first met in September 2019 through a mutual friend. At the time, he was playing football, and I was a cheerleader at Tarleton. It seemed meant to be from the start. We first met after a football game, and it was probably the most awkward interaction ever. We were both very nervous to meet each other. After meeting each other for the first, it wasn't long before we were hanging out with each other all the time. Don't let this fool you though I did play hard to get. Three very long months later, he asked me to be his girlfriend in the front yard of the house in Stephenville. It was after a fun date to Fort Worth, and he told me I left my wallet in his truck. I went outside to get it, and Bowie was holding flowers and asked me to be his girlfriend. Of course, I said, "Yes!" It was a long time coming, but he told me he didn't want to rush things. He was just too good to be true.

For the next two years, I spent my fall semesters cheering on Bowie at Tarleton football games. It was all I ever wanted for a relationship if you asked me. My favorite thing about football games was catching Bowie looking at me from the sidelines. We were both each other's biggest cheerleaders. When we both moved on from sports, nothing changed. As I finished my last two years in college, Bowie was my biggest supporter through it all. I couldn't have gotten through student teaching and school without him. During this time, I also got to support Bowie through his first year of teaching and coaching. It was such a fun stage of life together.

Now we both live in Weatherford, Tx. Bowie is coaching at Tison Middle School, and I am teaching second grade at Mary Martin Elementary. We are both so excited to be in the same city again. I cannot wait for Monday night football with the Kangaroos! Being a coach's wife is one of the things I am most excited about. This stage of life we are in together might just be my favorite. We are both excited for this next year and all the wonderful things it will hold!
