What is the dress code?
Our wedding will be set in the beautiful Cape Winelands, so we’d love for our guests to dress in elegant & formal garden party attire. Think suits (lightweight fabrics welcome) for the gents, and long summer dresses for the ladies (please no white). Colours & patterns encouraged. Please avoid stiletto heels, as we'll be on grass for a lot of the day. Please see the 'Dress Code' tab for further info.
Getting to the venue?
Our wedding will be held in Paarl, about a 45-minute drive from Cape Town, in the heart of the beautiful Cape Winelands.
There is lovely and ample accommodation in the Paarl area. We would recommend staying the night in Paarl, and getting a taxi from your Paarl accommodation to the venue and back on the day. 😊 Please see the 'Travel & Accommodation' tab for a list of accommodation close to our venue.
There will also be parking available at the venue should you wish to drive yourself.
Wedding gifts?
Your presence at our wedding truly is the greatest gift we could ask for, and we’re so grateful to be celebrating this special moment with the people we love most.
That being said, if you would still like to give a gift, a monetary contribution towards our honeymoon and the start of our married life would mean the world to us. We'll have a spot for any cards/ gifts at our wedding.
When should I RSVP by?
The deadline for RSVPs was 11th August 2025.
Are children welcome?
As much as we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. We hope this gives you a chance to relax, let your hair down, and enjoy the day with us!
Can I bring a plus one?
We’re keeping things intimate and are only able to accommodate the guests listed on your invitation. We kindly ask that no additional guests are brought — thank you so much for understanding, and we can't wait to celebrate with you!
Can I take photos during the ceremony?
We kindly ask that you put your phones and cameras away during the ceremony, as we want you all to be present with us in the moment. We’ve got an amazing photographer and videographer capturing the ceremony for us.
Other than the ceremony, yes! Please feel free to take as many photos and videos as you like – we can’t wait to see your photos and celebrate with you then!
Will there be food and drinks?
Absolutely! The celebration will kick off with canapés and cocktails after the ceremony. Then, we’ll move into a seated dinner with plenty of delicious options for everyone. To keep the energy up, there’ll be a late-night snack to fuel the dancing! And of course, there will be plenty of drinks flowing throughout the day & night.
How long would you recommend staying in Cape Town?
If you're travelling internationally, we’d highly recommend arriving 5-7 days before the wedding day to fully immerse yourself in the beauty of Cape Town, as there is just so much to see and do in & around Cape Town.
Things to do in & around Cape Town?
Cape Town is full of amazing things to see and do, and it is truly our favourite place in the entire world! Here are a few highlights to check out during your stay:
Table Mountain – Hike or take the cable car up for breathtaking views of the city and coastline.
V&A Waterfront – A hub of shops, restaurants, and entertainment with stunning views of the harbour and Table Mountain.
Boulders Beach – Visit the famous penguin colony of Simon's Town and relax on the beach.
Camps Bay & Clifton Beaches – Soak up the sun on Cape Town’s most iconic beaches—perfect for a relaxing afternoon or sunset cocktails.
Wine tasting in Stellenbosch – Definitely give the nearby town of Stellenbosch a visit for breathtaking scenic vineyard views, wine tasting tours, and some of South Africa’s best restaurants. It’s an amazing day trip for wine lovers and foodies.
Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens – A peaceful spot to explore South Africa’s native flora.
Hike Lions Head – For those who enjoy a good hike, Lion's Head offers a relatively easy but rewarding climb with spectacular 360-degree views of the city, Table Mountain, and the Atlantic Ocean. If you’re there at sunrise or sunset, you’ll be treated to some of the best views in Cape Town!
Cape Town’s Street Markets – Cape Town is home to several vibrant street markets, like The Oranjezicht City Farm Market, where you can sample delicious local food, shop for handmade goods, and experience the buzz of the city’s lively food culture.
Robben Island – Take a ferry and tour the historic prison where Nelson Mandela was held.
Boat Cruise & Dolphin Spotting: Hire a boat from the V&A Waterfront or Hout Bay for a cruise along the coast — you might even spot dolphins and whales.
And sooo many more incredible things to do! Feel free to ask us for specific recommendations — we’re happy to help you make the most of your time here 💖
Are there any other places you recommend visiting in South Africa?
Cape Town is our favourite place in the country (and the world!), but if you’re able to extend your trip, there are so many incredible places to explore beyond Cape Town. Here are a few favourites:
Kruger National Park – For a true safari experience, Kruger is one of the best places in the world to see the Big Five.
The Garden Route – A stunning coastal road trip with stops like Knysna, Plettenberg Bay, and Tsitsikamma. Ideal for beach lovers, nature enthusiasts, and adventure seekers.
There’s truly something for everyone in South Africa — whether you’re after a safari, wine country, beaches, or mountains.
