Brady's version:

I think the reason we started to grow closer is that we found ourselves in Brookings the summer of 2023. I remember seeing her at Mass and hanging out a few times and actually becoming close friends. Once I knew how she felt, I told her I wanted to pursue her. Then we told everyone. That was fun. Fast forward 6 months, and I was like shoot I really love this woman, she could be the one....and here we are.

Brady and I have had a surface level friendship since sophomore year of college, so when we started spending more time together in the summer of 2023, I didn't read into it because I was content with our relationship. At some point he made a very obvious hint about having feelings for me, so I jokingly said something along the lines of "Are we going to keep pretending like this isn't happening?" which prompted him to finally admit how he felt. After a long discussion the next day, he concluded that I was worth pursuing. I found out pretty quickly that he wasn't the person I had built him up to be in my head, but he was so much more; the humor, admiration, and respect that kicked off the friendship have only deepened since.
