Our Wedding

Junior year of college, Claire’s dad asked her to help host a couple of Singing Cadets. The Singing Cadets are a men’s chorus group from Texas A&amp;M that tour and sing for audiences. They stay in former Singing Cadet’s homes. Claire begrudgingly obliged as she had nothing else to do on a spring weekend during the semester. Claire and her dad decided to help feed the Singing Cadets so they headed up to the Kennadale Performance Hall where Claire ran into her friend, Brandon. Claire asked Brandon who was staying at her place and he pointed to Braedon. Claire was too intimidated to walk up and talk to him, so she looked Braedon up on Instagram. After the concert, Claire was holding the poster with the last name “Lindsey” on it waiting for Braedon to walk up. When he did, Claire started word vomiting that she was also a Junior at A&amp;M and that her name was Claire. When they all got in the truck, Claire made them all do their howdy intros, which made Braedon laugh. Claire could not keep from staring at Braedon but hoped he didn’t notice. In the morning, when Claire’s dad took the Singing Cadets back to where the boys were going to be picked up, he jokingly asked if Braedon got Claire’s number. He had not but he did get her Instagram. The next day Claire texted her friend, Brandon, who swore he was not sitting next to Braedon when she told him she thought Braedon was cute and Brandon said it was mutual. The next day Braedon asked Claire to come to his intramural day.

How we met

The Friday after they met Braedon and Claire went on their first date. Nothing went as planned. The food was good but after Braedon couldn’t stand up because he had worked out too hard. Then they were supposed to go ice skating after but Braedon couldn’t really stand up. So they just drove around College Station. The next day neither of them had plans so they decided to hammock together in academic plaza. They had so much fun they started dating just a couple weeks later on March 23!

Our first dates

Claire and Braedon chose to invite each other to their respective ring days! While this may not seem like a huge deal, they were newly dating and it felt like a huge step in their relationship. They got to really meet each other's families and friends for the first time!

While Braedon and Claire were dating they went on many dates and transitioned into a new phase of life. Braedon's favorite date was going hiking and eating sushi. Claire's favorites date was going to the zoo. Braedon started his first job the summer after graduating and moved back to Dallas-Fort Worth. Claire started law school the following fall and moved to Oklahoma. They started long distance and actually saw each other pretty often. Almost every two weeks!

Dating

July of 2024 Braedon finally asked and Claire said yes!! Braedon proposed in the Grapevine Botanical Garden and told Claire they were just wasting time before meeting his parents for dinner. 	After they got engaged, Braedon along with both of their families threw a party for Claire. So many of Braedon and Claire's close friend's came to celebrate them! They felt so special and celebrated!

Since our wedding falls on the Friday of Memorial Day weekend, we’re excited to share some great opportunities to explore the vibrant cities of Fort Worth and Dallas! Here are some of our favorite dates we have had in the DFW area that we think you’ll love:

The Fort Worth Zoo was a super fun date and one of our most memorable dates. Braedon loved the kangaroos and Claire loved the giraffes!

Braedon and Claire shared a memorable date as a celebration of their second year together, surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of springtime blooms. The vibrant flowers created a stunning backdrop for their special day!

Dallas Arboretum

Braedon and Claire have been to the Stockyards many times. The Drover is the best place to people watch. H3 ranch is the best steakhouse. Joe T Garcias is the best tourist attraction!

Fort Worth Stockyards

If you have never been to one, you have to go. It is a spectacle and have almost anything you can think of!
