Ijams Nature Center is a rustic nature garden and a beautiful part of Knoxville's Urban Wilderness. The Ijam's Nature Center consists of more than 300 acres of wildlife preserve and 12+ miles of trails just miles from downtown Knoxville. For more about the history of the venue visit: www.ijams.org

Please follow the directions to 2915 Island Home Ave, Knoxville, TN 37920. From Island Home Ave, turn in to Ijams Nature Center. Drive around the main parking lot. The closest airport is McGhee Tyson Airport (TYS) for Knoxville, TN. It is about 13 miles from downtown Knoxville, and about 17 miles to the venue. If you wish to check out other airports and make a road trip out of your adventure, we recommend Nashville, TN or Atlanta, GA.

If you are driving (renting a car or live in Knoxville), please consider carpooling with close friends or family. If you need to leave you car at the venue, you may pick it up the next morning. Uber and Lyft are reliable options in Knoxville. If you require assistance planning your commute, please contact us.

Indian or American clothing is suitable, whichever you are most comfortable in. The whole event is outdoors, so please bring a coat and/or umbrella (this is spring in Tennessee, after all...). Please wear shoes suitable for grass and gravel. Dinner and dancing will be under a tented structure and heaters will be provided, but it still may be chilly.

By no means does anyone need to buy additional clothing to attend our wedding. But we understand this may be a fun opportunity to be apart of the Indian culture. If you wish to wear Indian clothing, we recommend women wear a saree, kurta set, or lehenga and men wear a kurta set or a kurta with trousers. Yes, a beer and wine bar will be complementary to our guests at the Saturday reception. Please consider bringing cash for bartender tips.

Unfortunately, babysitting will not be provided. We will provide a few children's coloring books and crayons. Please let us know if you have any questions or needs.
