Our expert instructor, Procoro, is well versed in the art of relaxation, meditation and yoga; he can teach you to calm hunger, thirst and pain as well as cool down your body through the use of breathing techniques and yoga positions. Procoro is a master of body control and an expert in Kundalini Philosophy, the Pneuma System and Reiki. He has published many articles in Mexican journals and magazines about health & wellbeing, yoga and philosophy and even has his own radio program; the Art of Living which can be found on C7 Jalisco Radio. With no previous yoga experience necessary, you can experience kundalini yoga in three unique, idyllic and tranquil locations all without even leaving the Preserve where Hotel Mousai is located. The three locations in which Yoga classes are held are: On the beach from where you’ll be able to see the whole length of Banderas Bay as well as the Los Arcos beauty spot. Just make sure you’re paying attention to the class. By the river; here you will be surrounded by nature, kissed by the sun and serenaded by birdsong. On the mountain deck; the stunning views of the Bay and the tropical jungle which frames the deck makes it the best place to connect to let your spirit soar.

The Los Arcos Adventure is a truly wonderful activity in which you will enjoy a guided trip to Mismaloya and the Los Arcos formation. The rock formation bursts from the sea just a short way from the coast and can be reached by kayak or paddle board. You can also snorkel, dive and swim at the formation. You’ll set off from the beach either by Kayak or paddle board, but once you reach Los Arcos you’ll be offered the chance to use snorkelling or diving equipment to make the most of the beautiful scenery and subaquatic wildlife there.

Nature lovers have a great selection of jungle hikes and walks which will take you through the lush tropical jungles around the Garza Blanca Preserve. There are three main hiking tours on offer for Hotel Mousai guests: Hiking 1, Hiking 2 and Let’s Go to the River. All of these take you along the amazing trails that loop around the most scenic parts of the preserve. You’ll be able to see various types of flora and fauna, taste wild fruits and berries and even learn a little about how to identify poisonous plants and recognize bird songs. All hiking and jungle tours start in the Lobby where your guide will meet you. You’ll then take a golf cart to the very edge of the Garza Blanca Preserve and begin a pleasant and gentle hike under the guidance of the knowledgeable and personable staff at Hotel Mousai in Puerto Vallarta. The Hiking 1 tour is the shorter of the two hiking tours at Hotel Mousai in Puerto Vallarta at 1 hour and 45 minutes, and is a great choice for those who want a short, gentle jaunt. You’ll learn about the birds of the area and get to try some edible flora that grows on site. Hiking 2 follows the same track as Hiking 1 initially, but continues on for a further 45 minutes to a stunning waterfall where, depending on the season, you can take a relaxing dip as a little reward for all your hard work (and to cool down!). If you are staying in Puerto Vallarta during Whale season (November through March) you’ll also be taken to a viewing deck to see if you can spot some on the horizon. Let's Go to the River (seasonal). Those who like to swim and snorkel will love this seasonal trip. You start by trekking into the mountains on the edge of the resort ground to a wonderful riverside spot where you can swim and bask in the sunlight. On your way you’ll see lots of animals and plants, and your guide will point out which plants are edible. Your guide will also be happy to answer any of the questions you have. The river trip is a guaranteed way to have a great day in the embrace of the jungle. We highly recommend taking this trip if its available during the season of your stay.

From basketball fanatics to beginners, enjoy a fun and friendly game of basketball with fellow guests at the Outdoor Play and Fitness center that is enveloped by lush tropical jungle and the sound of birdsong. The multi-use courts become a Basketball tournament three times and week, organized and umpired by the activities team at Hotel Mousai. Friends and supporters can also join you to watch from the air-conditioned club house or stand on the side lines and cheer. A great team activity to get the red blood cells oxygenating your major organs and smile of endorphins on you face.

Catch of the Day is a wonderful event for foodies to enjoy with their families. The event begins when the local fishermen bring in their fishing boats to Garza Blanca Beach to deliver their selection of fresh caught fish. One of the resort’s chefs will then take the fish and prepare a delicious dish for guests to try at this gourmet activity. Before your eyes the chef will prepare a fresh ceviche, sharing his secrets with guests as to what makes the best raw fish salad! The fresh fish that arrives during this activity is also on sale by the kilo for you purchase, with the option of having the chef prepare it for you later in the day just as you like: ceviche, grilled, cooked in garlic etc.
