Cook. Baker. Love. Marriage.
He’s a chef and I’m a baker.
We met in culinary school in January of 2024 and started becoming friends. Jonathan was always there giving me advice and was always praying for me when I needed it.
We stopped having the same classes together and we kinda fell out of touch.
Fast forward to march of 2025, I felt like I should reach out to that blonde kid I met in my classes a few semesters ago. We started talking and hanging out and getting to know each other again because we had both changed.
He invited me to go to Europe with him for a few weeks and my parents said go for it. As we started getting to know each other however, I started to form feelings for him. One Tuesday when we were on FaceTime he asked me if there was anything we needed to talk about before we officially booked my flight to Europe. I felt the lord had opened a door to express my feelings so I did, a few weeks after he told me he had feelings too! We took things very very slow. Keeping Christ at the center of it all and just enjoying our time together.
At the end of April we were getting coffee one afternoon and decided to go to the park and climb some trees, if you know him, you know he has always loved climbing trees. So we find this tree and start to climb. Next thing I know he’s falling out of the tree and into a concrete ditch fracturing his heel. I helped Jonathan out for the week while his parents were out of town and so naturally we got to learn a lot about each other. At the end of the week of me helping him out he asked me to be his girlfriend. I, of course said yes.
He wasn’t working since he was in a cast so we were seeing a lot of each other. I was continuing to help him when he needed it and being there for him, trusting Gods timing through it all.
We continued praying for Gods guidance through this relationship and taking things slow. We would spend time with each others families playing games and getting to know everyone.
We started bringing up marriage and what that would look like for us. We prayed and prayed for God to remove each other from our lives if that wasn’t his plan for us and he kept showing us that his plan for us was marriage. We felt such a peace over the decisions we were making and the talks we were having trusting Gods plan for us.
November 12th 2025 Jonathan asked me to be his and I said yes. Our lives are simple and we keep Christ at the center of it all, giving him the glory through this relationship.
