We had known about each other for years, but it wasn't until we matched on Tinder that our paths truly crossed. Brandon likes to tease that we met online, but Taylor insists it was through mutual friends. Regardless of how we met, we knew from the start that we had something special.
Right before COVID, we decided to move in together. We joked that if we could survive quarantine together, we could survive anything, including marriage. As it turned out, we were right. We made the most of our time together, spending time on Clinton Lake (where we got engaged), adding two beautiful sheepadoodles, Micah and Milo, to our family, and binge-watching Desperate Housewives.
As we plan our wedding, we can't help but reflect on how far we have come. When we were younger, gay marriage was not even legal. It was something we could only dream about. But now, here we were, about to embark on the next chapter of our lives together.
We are beyond excited to bring our family and friends from all walks of life together for a big celebration of love. It's a testament to how far we've come as a society, and how love knows no boundaries.
