We were two young Sophomores at Baylor University, celebrating a mutual friend's birthday at a restaurant-bar called Cricket's. I was standing across the room with the girls when Brandon started walking over to me. He said, "I think I know you from somewhere." My initial thought was that I had never seen this guy before and he was using a cheesy pickup line. One of his friends overheard and came over to specify. He said, "Oh yeah, didn't you two have environmental science lab together?" Then it clicked, he was right. Brandon sat diagonally from me in class and asked me for a pencil one time. I never got that pencil back, unfortunately. We started chatting and realized we had a lot in common—the same majors, the same hometown, and we had a deep love for Jesus. We instantly had a connection.

From then on, we went on several dates and he asked me to be his girlfriend on April 17th, 2022. There was not a dull moment between us; we could talk and laugh for hours together and enjoy each other's company. We went to church, sports games, country dancing, fraternity events, cruises, and lots more together. Every day was a fun-filled adventure for us.

On December 26th, 2024, Brandon took me to Zilker Botanical Gardens. The weather was beautiful and the garden was vibrant and luscious. The day couldn't have been more perfect when he got down on one knee next to a waterfall to ask me to marry him. Boy, I was one happy girl when I said "Yes!" I knew God had blessed me with the most amazing person to spend the rest of my life with.

Since that day, we’ve been counting down to this next chapter — celebrating with family and friends who have supported us, encouraged us, and loved us along the way. We are so excited to gather our favorite people in one place and begin this new adventure as husband and wife.
