Our story started in January of 2021. It was the first time we had both dined indoors following the pandemic. Brandon took the train from NYC up to meet Maureen at a restaurant next to the train station in Tarrytown where she was living at the time.

Despite the surreal circumstances of the date, we both immediately felt comfortable with each other (despite Maureen likely having food poisoning from the night before). We discussed among other topics our mutual loves of music, family, sports, and travel.

From there we spent the first few months alternating weekend dates in the city and in Tarrytown ultimately deciding to take our first of many international trips together to Iceland in September of that year. Having spent more than a week together, and many hours long car trips through the countryside of Iceland we decided to meet each other's families when we returned. The rest is history!

Fast forward to August of 2023...following a (uneventful) trip to Portland, we decided to take a hike to one of Maureen's favorite places, Rockefeller State Park. While on the hike Brandon was walking at his typically slow pace and decided to stop to tie his shoe, where while already on one knee popped the question in Maureen's favorite meadow! That wasn't the only surprise of the day. Following a few calls to friends and family, we got ready to go to a pre-planned BBQ at Brandon's parents place where both our families met for the first time and surprised Maureen with a little party to help us celebrate!
